B2 Lab Office

Connecting from the B2-B3 Connecting Junction Laboratory Storage Wing, or the 'Y' path's right most hallway, past the looted corpse of Detective Jeffers from the '70s, was a moderately sized office that had windows on the left side, looking into B2 Lab 'S-66' Storage. There were bookshelves, and a large desk with an old placard with 'Dr. James Ferral' covered in a thick layer of dust on it. An old computer was in the corner of the wooden desk, with its monitor blown out, an exit hole in the back looked consistent with a 9mm round. A typewriter was in the other corner, and file cabinet was against the wall. On the other side of the wall, opposite of the windows looking into the Lab, was a portrait of the man who owned the office:

Yoko entered the room, ahead of Jack. Her revolver out, she swept the room of potential dangers, but saw none. It was a simple office, with a portrait of a scarecrow looking man on one wall, and large windows of a thick glass that spanned the roof to the floor looking into the Laboratory Jack had entered. "(Shit...)" she gasped, looking at the creatures contained in formalin beyond the glass, and shivered. "I see what you meant... it is safe, in here... Jack." she gulped. I hope...

Jack entered the office, handgun down, since she said it was safe. His first glance was at the computer monitor, and how it looked like someone had shot it from the screen side. He then turned to Yoko... and the glaring obvious windows he had partly seen in his moment of being in the lab. At least from this angle, he could now see the room didn't have threats roaming about... as far as he could tell. "What the hell is going on here? Secret labs developing these things...?" He asked, as he turned around and faced the desk. He wanted some answers, and he began tearing apart the desk for clues.

He found a box of .38 Special which was convenient, as well as a small holster for what appeared to be an M36... but saw no gun. He also found a luger P08 magazine, empty... which was fucking weird. He left it there, unsure he'd actually ever need to use it...

He didn't see anything of viable use though, no papers or documents... the desk looked like it had been cleared out ages ago. "Found you some more ammo, for your revolver, Sasaki.." Jack said.

She was studying the creatures behind the glass... and could see some sort of 'override' switch on the back wall. It was weird.

She then heard Jack call her by her family name, and she frowned. She put her hands on her hips and turned to him abruptly, her bosom swaying as she puffed her cheeks out. "I told you, its okay to call me Yoko..." she grumbled, before noting the box of ammunition. "What a lovely present." She half teased. "Thanks..." she says, scooping up the box that rattled somewhat, and tossed it into her backpack. "What are you looking for?" She asked, noticing him going through the cabinets and bookshelf.

"Looking for anything to explain what's going on here... why are there monsters roaming about? Are the 'zombies' also connected? Don't you find it odd we stumbled into a laboratory thats mass producing these freaks?" Jack replied as he was rummaging through the empty cabinets, each squealing from disuse as he pulled them open. "Arrg...!"-

 

-He groaned, holding his chest. Sharp pain emanating from his side as he winced. Shit... my side's killing me! Must have been when that oversized snake struck me. He thought, and continued to look around. Various medical books, biology and theorems from the 60's were stored on the shelf, nothing of use or that could tell him what was going on.

Yoko didn't think about it too much before, as she was too focused on trying to survive really to care. "...I get what you mean. But if the dead man outside is any indication, its obvious no one's been down here for years. The creatures that we've encountered must have escaped a while ago. As for them being connected with the zombies-" she paused when Jack groaned in pain. "-Jack?" she inquired, and walked over to him. "What's wrong...? Did you get hurt by that monster?" She asked, resting her hand on his shoulder, wanting to comfort him. "How about you take a rest for the moment, let me take a look..." she pressed.

He shook his head. "I'm fine... it's from the snake. It struck me and I hit a wall. Probably just a strain." he explained, before patting his chest. "See just..." he winced and grabbed hold of the shelf. "Okay... okay, I'll let you have a look..." he said, removing his AR15 from his back and took a seat in the plush, leather back office chair. It felt very comfortable and he could only think of the man who owned this office, this 'James Ferral' saw in his time as Jack turned the chair towards the window of the laboratory, towards Yoko. He unzipped his vest, the Carhartt hooded work jacket, and slowly pulled up the black V-neck shirt part way up his slender, yet athletic chest. He wasn't a 'strength build' as he was a 'dex one', with runner's abs than taut muscle.

Yoko shook her head, and waited for him to pull up his shirt. On one hand, she liked the look of his chest, on the other hand, she didn't like the look of the bruise. "(Yeah, that looks painful...)" she said, just as he said it too. She smiled kindly at him as she hunkered down before him, and slid her bag around, and yanked out the medical kit she had found earlier. She took out an ace bandage, and a bottle of ibuprofen. "We'll start with this, for now. If its still hurting in an hour... I will give you something else." she explained, handing him the bottle. "Take recommended dose..." she explained, pointing at him as she reached out and gently touched his warm, slightly sweaty chest, being careful around the area of the visible bruise.

"Yeowch!" Jack hissed as she pressed her cool fingers against his chest. He blushed a little, and looked away, given from this angle he could see down her blouse. God damn me for doing that at a time like this... He sighed, flustered and annoyed with himself as well as his wandering eyes. Jack reached for the bottle and winced as she continued to touch his chest. "So... were you attending the university to become a doctor?" He asked, pulling the bottle over to him and took out three orange-brown capsules before popping them into his mouth. He took the canteen from his belt and drank from it with a sigh, before screwing the top back on and set it aside.

"Heh, an X-Ray technician is my official goal, but I'm taking general med studies to work for Umbrella with my sister one day. They are always in need of more researchers, so she says."

"Stand?" Yoko asked as he stood up and she wrapped the bandage around his chest lightly, not being too tight so the lungs wouldn't be operable however. Once finished, she glanced up at him with a smile, her chest against his as she blinked her long lashes. "That should help you feel a little better."

Raccoon City, I mean. 'Home of Umbrella' and all that, heh...ow." he winced.

Yoko was about finished wrapping the bandage, when he noticed how close she was in comparison to him. He could... feel her breasts against the front of his chest, and her thighs were rubbing up to his! Oh oh... wait, is she doing that intentionally?! He thought, gulping audibly as he looked down as she looked up. He was blushing, and she was coquettishly smirking, batting her long eyelashes up at him. She had a slightly flustered face herself.

He gulped again. He wasn't sure how to proceed... aside from. "Th-thanks..." in a sheepish, nervous manner. How he felt currently reminded him of how Elliot Craig, one of his best friends, would sometimes get weak kneed or even have fainting spells. He didn't feel like fainting in all honesty, but his body felt unsteady, as if the floor was falling beneath him... again. "I'll... be more careful. Next time..." he added, looking away from her eyes, pulling up his bandana out of reflex.

His neck burned, feeling as if several eyes looked upon the hidden scar which coiled around his neck like barbed wire... He closed his eyes, and pulled his shirt down. "...we, we aren't getting out of here from here. We may as well check the lift. This place is a bust." he added, becoming slightly aloof as his self-conscious induced anxiety returned with a vengeance. "We should get going..."

She blinked at his sudden demeanor. He was somewhat 'aloof' now, but not in a mean way. Something bothered him as he pulled his scarf up again. Something's up there... he keeps pulling that thing up like some sort of crutch. What's up with that..? She thought, worried about him. He seemed like a nice guy, and hell, she was charmed by him the moment he stepped up to action. But, he was suddenly... defensive? Over anxious? Well... zombies and horrific monsters ARE real, apparently. So... I can see the issue of getting close to people... She thought, then forced a smile. "Yeah.." she pushed a lock of dark hair behind her ear as she pulled away from him, allowing him to slide by. "Right... guess down the lift we go, yes?" She asked, batting her lashes as she began. "I told you I had a sister," she began lightly. "do you? Have anybody?" She asked, gently as she could. She realized the timing was a bit off... and now suddenly wondered if that was part of the issue. "-Forgive my asking, that was random. Sorry." she said gently, looking down.

She was then apologized, and he looked away, then bowed his head, sighing. "...No, its fine. My mother is in Chicago." he explained, without glancing back. "I have an Uncle who runs a gunshop in Tall Oaks, Maine from my father's side... so I've got no one else in town. No worries on my end, thank goodness..." he answered, somewhat wryly. He didn't turn to face her, as he could hear his father's screams in his ears again. He slapped his face gently to 'wake up', and shook his head. "Lets drop the subject for now..." he then took his handgun out from its holster, checking the magazine. He had only spent the one bullet from the 15 round magazine. He was down two mags, had eight more in the truck though...

He sighed, sliding the mag back into the handgun and then half turned to face Yoko again. "I'll take point."

"Lets drop the subject for now..." he then took his handgun out from its holster, checking the magazine. He had only spent the one bullet from the 15 round magazine. He was down two mags, had eight more in the truck though...

He sighed, sliding the mag back into the handgun and then half turned to face Yoko again. "I'll take point."

Yoko listened to Jack as he spoke of his Mother and Uncle, and mentioned his father only via his uncle who owned a Gunshop in Tall Oaks, Maine... He then dropped the subject and lead the way to the last viable option left to leave this place, unless either of them could grow wings, they'd be stuck...

"Jack..." she said softly, watching him head down the corridor ahead of her. She gave him some space, and removed her revolver from her holster before following him back into the hall again.
