History:
A struggling Punk Rock musician from an Irish-American family in the city of Raccoon. The pretty, tomboyish young woman attends Raccoon University, learning how to become a mortician/Medical Examiner- in the event her 'Rock' career falls south. She's pretty good with it, not too freaked out by seeing dead people all day, finding it was harder to work on the cadaver cats and dogs she had to train with initially.

A happy go lucky sort, she's usually always in a decent mood, but her temper is as red hot as her hair (and the rest of her ), and she will become aggressive and hostile (verbally and or physically) if she's set off, usually by people who deserve it or didn't 'take the hint'. Given her temper and somewhat lackadaisical manner, her single father, Sgt. Ryan O'Neil, and her older brothers (Sean, Kieran, Patrick- also cops) are often worried about her, though, living in an all male household made her learn how to take of herself, and her family as well, so she simply finds them overprotective.

September 24th (Outbreak)...
Starting Point- Post #2777: Saoirse had been working throughout most of the initial outbreak at the Raccoon City Radio-777 with her co-workers: Mike, Tommy, Loid, Cory and their boss, Vic. Vic paid Saoirse $200 to stay a couple of extra hours after already working an 8 hour shift, given an apparent state of civil unrest outside (around 8pm). She checks her missed calls, finding out that Kieran and Pat are missing, and her brother Sean had been taken into the hospital earlier in the morning from bite wounds. Her father is alone at the station, waiting for her, and she is unable to reach the station due to the city panic. Just as she resolves herself to leave, Cory was attacked by an infected Campus Security guard, and Vic begins to act creepy, telling her the city is lost, and that her family are likely already dead, and offers her a place of safety at the Radio Station. She refuses, and leaves, but notices her bike tires were slashed by the increasingly suspicious Vic. Regardless, she leaves her coworkers behind, unaware they had 'plans' for her...
Sam's Sporting Goods- Post #2817: Saoirse upon finding that the easiest route to take from the station is blocked off by wreckage and police barricades, and decides to double back and through Uptown Park, beside the Raccoon Press. There, is Sam's Sporting Goods, where she acquires her first handgun, a M92F SWAT Model, from a turned RPD SWAT officer, and upon breaking into the store, she acquires a flashlight, waistbag, supplies, a Browning A-Bolt 'Stalker' bolt-action shotgun, and importantly a new bike. She collects handgun mags, and makes her first (albeit sloppy) first zombie kill to the SWAT officer, before a horde closes in on her! She spots a hidden SWAT custom MP5A3 Submachine Gun, but is unable to grab it in time to escape the horde, opting to leave and return later if its necessary. She tries to head down River Ave on her new bike, but is blocked by more zombies. Forced to flee, she takes a 'longer route' by heading to the Euston Street Pedestrian Bridge to cross over and swing down to either West River Ave Crossing or Flower Street Bridge to continue her quest towards the hospital, hoping that the zombies couldn't swim across the Circular River...
Euston Street Bridge (Central District Side)- Post #2835: Saoirse begins her cross over the bridge, where she is confronted with her first B.O.W.- a Hunter MA-124 'GAMMA', calling it a 'frog-man'. She is unexpectedly 'saved' by a pair of MA-067 "NEPTUNE", or Sharks who eat the Gamma but also destroy part of the bridge, trapping her in the middle of the river, and she loses her newly acquired bike and scrapes her knee deep enough to trickle blood. The sharks are driven off by a mysterious glowing blue shark that defies logic, swimming in a manner it shouldn't and producing an electrical field whilst also showing off heightened intellect. She crosses via an I-beam to the Ravengate District's side of the bridge, narrowly devoured by another Frog-Man, she is saved by the mysterious shark, whom she begins to call 'Guppy Blue'. She realizes now the gravity of the city's and her own, dwindling situation. Undaunted, however, she continues.
Euston Street Bridge (Raven's Gate District Side)- Post #2851: Saoirse continues her journey across Euston Street Bridge, only to be attacked by a 'Mysterious Sniper'. Her left hand receives shrapnel from the 7.62x54mmR bullet striking one of her guitar tuners, and she is soon attacked by a pod of five Hunter Gammas! She fends them off, along with 'Guppy Blue' and even this Sniper, who taunts her and her fish friend across the bridge. She manages to get off the bridge on Euston Street (Raven's Gate District side), and realizes she needs to patch her wounds and decides the best action is to make a detour for Raccoon City University, which is dead in her sights...while the sniper's sights are dead on her...!
Raccoon City University Admin Building -Main Hall- Post #2886: Saoirse continues to evade the sniper, getting away from the bridge whilst bleeding from her injuries. She is forced to take a detour towards the Raccoon University Admin Building, which is dead ahead of her. In a last ditch, 'cheeky' farewell, the sniper loaded a rubber bullet and fired at her buttocks just before she dove into the University building. Inside, she locks the door and gets her bearings. She's alone... or so she thinks. She looks around, finding a first aid spray, and takes this moment to lick her wounds and take stock of her inventory. She ends up passing out till around 9:06 pm from the pain, when she is awoken by an evil screech from the surrounding area. She ventures off, in search of medical equipment to repair injuries done to her hand.
Raccoon University Admin Building -Student Affairs Office- Post #2956: Saoirse enters the Student Affairs Office and looks around for supplies. She finds another 15 rounds of 9x19mm, and a couple of files collected by a Dr. Peter Jenkins who worked at the University, which talked about Genealogy, Mitochondria DNA, and a journal containing notes about 'T-Virus' 'Daylight' a 'Dr. Greg' and a 'Professor Ferral' as well as 'Genesis Cell' which was apparently a great curative against this 'T-Virus' and other stuff about Umbrella being corrupt and that there were secret passages and safes and a medical lab on the supposed 'third floor' of the Admin Building. Unsure what to make of it, she decided to check it out, at least to find medical supplies when Saoirse is confronted by a weird blue haired woman who is tall and naked. She raises her guitar in alarm, scaring the woman, whom she assumes is under the influence of a narcotic based 'trip'. She leaves her, to follow up on Jenkins' account of a hidden safe behind a portrait of Ferral in the Art Gallery on the second floor, but the blue haired woman (equipped with a trench coat Sersh tossed her), follows close behind. She finds out her name is 'Skye' and makes light of the situation, saying that Skye's odd nature makes sense being the product of 'flower children' which goes over the unique woman's head...
Raccoon University Admin Building -Art Gallery- Post #3029: Upon reaching the Art Gallery, Saoirse discovers that Jenkins wasn't lying, and there was a safe behind a large portrait of Professor James Issac Ferral, who used to teach when the University was an established, top of the line Medical College. She unlocks the safe thanks to the journal she found, and finds an eppy pen box containing an old blood sample with 'Genesis Cell O-Neg' on it. Confused, she packs it away, as her increasingly agitated friend begins to freak out over the portrait of Ferral, calling him a 'Bad Man'. She destroys the portrait, and flares up like Guppy Blue, and it is then she realizes that Skye could potentially be the shark friend she met on the bridge! She's unsure why or how she turned human, but she tells her to run. She soon finds out why, as armed men rush into the University, seeking her out for being the 'Red Cell' they are looking for. Skye holds her ground trying to stealthily approach the situation, which a naive Saoirse foils on accident. She hears a gunshot, and makes a break for it regretfully to the Presidents Room whilst being chased by a pair of these armed men!
Raccoon University Admin Building -President's Room- Post #3056: Saoirse barricades the door leading into the Drawing Room across from the Art Gallery, and then does the same for the conjoined President's Room. She is caught off guard, and bitten on the left forearm by the former Dean, however, whom she sacrifices her electric guitar by smashing and stabbing what was left into it, before finishing it off with a bullet to the head. Saoirse finds a pair of chains, one red and one blue, and struggles to remember which to pull as she left Jenkins' journal behind when she ran into Skye! As the unknown threats beat down on the doors, she finally deduces the correct chain to pull, and slides into the secret testing passage mentioned in the journal.
Raccoon University -Testing Passage B- Post #3057: Saoirse slides into the passageway before it closes, and finds herself in a dark room. Climbing the only structure in the room, a ladder leading to the third floor, she is met with a locked bulkhead hatch and hears the pair of armed men rummaging in the room below! Then, she comes face to face with a stranger at gunpoint, a blond, bespectacled older gentleman who hushes her and when the threat passes, helps her up. He turns out to be Dr. Greg Mueller, the man mentioned in Jenkins' journal whom in the final pages, wrote he could no longer trust... The man is friendly enough, if suspicious of her. He greets her, and insists on looking at her wounds given his medical training. She reluctantly follows him.
Raccoon University -Second Hall- Post #3079: Saoirse sits down and has a moment to relax in the weird, hidden away third floor of the Admin Building with Dr. Greg. She grows uneasy being in his presence, and she tries to break the tension by talking personal with him, given his remark about her name being Irish Gaelic for 'Freedom' and her eyes being Asian since she was technically quarter Japanese due to her mother's genes. He fixes her a cup of tea, and she tells him her story and how she got to this point as he checks over her injuries and cleans her wounds. In turn, he tells her the truth of the situation in Raccoon City, that the city was infected by the 'T-Virus' and that all the monsters she saw were the byproduct of this virus, and purposefully created and designed by Umbrella Inc, whom her deceased mother was a researcher for, and who died while working for them in 1985. She is stunned by the revelation, and is told how the virus infects, and how he laced her tea with an incurable variant of the T-Virus as it infects and mutates a host body within minutes of direct exposure... but she is fine. She appears to be totally immune! He then drugs her, making her complacent as Dr. Greg prepares to utilize her blood- her genetic data, to perfect the 'Daylight' Serum, a cure to the T-Virus strains. She falls unconscious, and the doctor begins to slowly drain her blood...
45 minutes later-
Raccoon University -Second Hall- Post #3124: Saoirse wakes up in a stupor, fighting off the urge to sleep, she manages to break free of her binds and injure Dr. Greg in the process! A hasty, drug fueled chase ensues as Saoirse crosses through the bizarre torture chamber and laboratory of the lunatic doctor who was now shooting at her with his handgun!
Raccoon University -Greg's Laboratory- Post #3132: The pair come to a head in Dr. Greg's lab, the titular doctor himself aims his empty gun fruitlessly at Saoirse, but begins to choke the weakened and drugged red head to death! However, thanks to the tactical police knife given to her by her father, Saoirse manages to break free by stabbing Greg in the shoulder and then smashing a nearby lamp onto his head, and the mad doctor's head smashes against a desk before he crumples to the ground unconscious.

Raccoon University -Experiment Preparation Room- Post #3135: Saoirse stumbles briefly into Greg's Experiment Prep room, finding some medicine and herbal tablet recovery medicine called 'Raccoonafin'. She then hastily enters the third floor elevator passage and begins to question if her mother had involvements with the shady side of Umbrella. She ends up taking the elevator to the only floor it would descend to, that being 'B2'.
Raccoon University -B2F Pier Storage/Loading Dock (Passage Elevator)- Post #3139: Once the lift reached its destination, Saoirse stumbles out onto the Pier Storage/Loading Dock that resides low on the Circular River behind the Campus. She is hit immediately with exhaustion due to the drugs in her blood, the stress, her injuries and the loss of blood thanks to Dr. Mueller's experiment. She falls unconscious, onto a bunch of black bags, unaware they contain Dr. Mueller's other 'research specimens'. The reanimated corpses of the rotting monsters within begin to stir and grope the unconscious Saoirse through the taut black bags. The impromptu 'massage' helps only a little, as Saoirse soon stirs and reasonably freaks out! She whips out her handgun and unloads the entire magazine into the zombies, backing up against the wire fencing to close off boating supplies. With her body spent, she falls into a deep slumber once again.
Raccoon University -B2F Pier Storage/Loading Dock (Passage Elevator)- Post #3437: Saoirse begins to experience an odd and fantastical nightmare where she is chased by a Red Dragon she figures is a metaphor of Umbrella Inc. This dragon is angered by the fact she had taken its gold, (without realizing it) and as punishment devours her alive. The experience is so traumatic she experiences it over and over, unsure if it was really just a dream...!

Raccoon University -B2F Pier Storage/Loading Dock (Passage Elevator)- Post #3675: Saoirse is woken from the nightmare by a young man in camouflage and with a big gun slung over his shoulder. He is not a soldier, nor 'Rambo', but wears a red bandana all the same. John "Jack" Cavanaugh, a former high school acquaintance stands before her and recognizes her. The reunion is short lived, however, as the sound of a monster Jack had encountered before forces them to make a hasty escape! However, Saoirse isn't just able to walk, she can't do much at all given how groggy she is thanks to the drugs injected into her by Dr. Greg. Jack insists they head down, into the sewers and waterworks beneath the university much to the chagrin of Saoirse. However, with an unknown threat looming on them, she reluctantly follows Jack into the sewer, saying that she 'owes him all she can eat Burger Kong' and she intends for him to pay up!
Raccoon University -B3F West Waterway- Post #3692: Saoirse, in the arms of her escort John, begins to feel the lucid effects of the tranquilizers given to her as the pair catch up and bicker their way through the waterways beneath Raccoon University. She asks him about the scarves and bandana's he wears around his neck since high school, and realizes however she hit a nerve. To combat this setback, she recalls upon an old memory that gets the pair back in brighter spirits. She teases the man she knows had a crush on her back in those easy going days...

Raccoon University -B3F East Waterway- Post #3706: The pair encounter their first real obstacle: a ladder going up. Jack seems hesitant going the other way which was as he states "how he had gotten here" and the pair have to become rather... intimate in order to overcome this 9- 10 ft ladder! Its slow work, as Jack supports Saoirse, her gear, her bag, his waterlogged gear on top of his rifle, and its then she is quite amazed at how much stronger he'd become over the years. This is when she slips a little, and he accidentally grabs her sore ass which had been shot by the rubber bullet!  


She glares daggers at Jack, but they continue further with little incident... save a mention of weight.  

However, Jack only continues to impress her as he manages the rest of the way up the ladder now in a better position (with her folded over his shoulder so he could make use of both hands), and the pair ascend to the upper level at last! Its then Saoirse, though teasing him to death, begins to feel a mixture of jealousy of Jack's feats and her current inability to show off her own talents as well as guilt over forcing this old and mysterious acquaintance to aid her.
Water Treatment Facility -Passage A- Post #3983 Able to somewhat walk, Saoirse uses John as a crutch, telling him to give her back her gun as they continue towards the new area, but he declines given her current 'loopy' state. She gets really huffy about this, wanting to show off her skills to her cute and oftentimes stoic rescuer, but he manages to dispatch the zombie himself. On a rather quick, glancing observation, the zombie in question looks far more deteriorated than those she had encountered that night, but both chalk it up to the waterworks and the abundance of pests and bacteria. The pair encounter another zombie, one Saoirse intentionally lures with her voice to help Jack as they look for a way out. After dispatching the last zombie, Saoirse's injured hand begins to bleed again, which forces Jack and Saoirse to seek a dry and safe place to work on stitching up her hand. With a door behind them, and the unknown ahead, they choose to press on to a dead end and a door that lead to the Waterworks Management Office.
Water Treatment Facility -Waterworks Management Office- Post #4016: Saoirse and Jack enter the office, and see signs of a bloody conflict that has long since transpired. Dried blood adorns a whiteboard, walls and the floor in front of the door, but with a quick glance it is clear the room is safe to operate in. Jack gets to work on Saoirse's hand, and though painful (for both considering she accidentally back handed Jack as he was yanking out the shrapnel), Jack manages to remove the bullet fragments from her hand, cleaning and suturing the wound up as well. After this, she passes out from the exhaustion, ending Saoirse's prequel hours into the outbreak...

September 25th...
Water Treatment Facility -Waterworks Management Office- Post #4043: Saoirse wakes up from her dreamless slumber almost three hours after her hasty surgery. Its 1:45 A.M., and looks for Jack, who said he'd promise not to leave her however he doesn't appear in sight...!
