Inventory:

Valued possession: Colt AR-15 Delta H-BAR (Aka Colt AR15 A2): A Pre-Ban Colt AR15-A2 DELTA HBAR. An early version of the Delta HBAR (Model R6600DH) which still retains the bayonet lug and is without sear block. A rifle that features a chrome-lined 20" heavy barrel with 1/7 rifling twist. It has all of the A2 features including the A2 rear sight, brass deflector, forward assist, A2 grip (with Delta emblem), and buttstock. The Delta HBAR was further factory customized with the addition of a Tasco Rubber-Armored 3x-9x scope in a detachable ARMS mount, and a special Colt marked rubber cheek piece. Has been modified with a folding bipod, a special Colt marked black leather sling, a 20-shot magazine, cleaning kit, scope lens covers, muzzle cover, original owner's manual and miscellaneous factory paperwork. These were manufactured between 1987-1990 in somewhat limited numbers. It was his father's rifle, bequeathed to him upon his death.

History:

A young man who works for Gunshop Kendo, acting as its delivery driver, stock boy, clerk, janitor, etc. His father was friends with the Kendo brothers and he's known the family since he started hunting at the age of 8. His father was a highly experienced hunter in the area, and his mother would always worry about Jack Junior out in the woods- his father sharing a similar knack of 'not paying attention' when he set his sights on a prized stag or bear. On one of these hunting trips, the younger Jack crawled into a forgotten neck snare trap. He almost strangled to death, but was saved by his father before the worst could occur; even so, the wire cutting into his neck, left a permanent and nasty scar...



School was rough, with constant jabs and pranks and cruel words thrown his way thanks to it, so he tried to hide it with turtle necks, scarves whatever despite the weather. It didn't help he had ADHD as well. He suffered through most of his schooling, despite having a high intellect he was held back by basic academic problems as well as from bullying. When he was 19, he was prescribed Adderall which helped, and he passed high school with a B - C average. He wanted to join the military, but failed the exam, and instead tried joining up with the RPD. Though he struggled with attention and hyperactivity, he was always careful with weapons and you wouldn't have known it otherwise, and he started working at Kendo Gunshop thanks to his dad.

In May of '98, he and his father went out on a hiking and fishing trip up at the Raccoon City Dam, but tragedy struck. His father was attacked and ganged up by a pack of wild dogs, and though both men were armed, they seemingly just were unafraid of the firearms they were carrying. His father was dragged into the deep woods, and Jack Jr. ran to get help. He ran the 5 mile hike in less than 25 minutes, almost passing out at the entrance of the hiking path near Victory park. A search team was sent lead by S.T.A.R.S., Raccoon Volunteers, and the RPD, but his father wasn't able to be found.

After three months, Jack Cavanagh Senior was 'declared dead'. Jack was devastated, but supported by his father's friends and his mother.

As an individual, John 'Jack' Cavanagh Junior is a hyper, brash, reckless, impulsive, informative, and self conscious- especially concerning his neck scars. He's treated like a kid despite being twenty one, and often teased for his immaturity when it comes to conversation and his impulsiveness. Still, around a firearm, he is conscientious, alert, and calm. He knows he's constantly being watched and observed for his actions, and his neck scars give him a bad impression and makes him think others think he's suicidal- its a messy scenario he's replayed in his head concerning those who see the scars while he's stocking ammunition in the shop. He gets embarrassed easily, doesn't like to admit when he's wrong due to a sense of pride, but when exposed to the truth long enough will inevitably relent and admit it. He's got decent medical knowledge thanks to his mother who was a surgeon, and survival skills due to his father, who was part of the missing and murdered of May 1998. He still blames himself for his father's death, and often scowers the area of the damn in the hopes he'll find his father's remains...

He is friendly with members of the RPD- particularly Lt. Handy, Sgt. Winters, Elliot Craig, Samantha Kamura, as well as the Kendo brothers and their families. He's unknowingly friends with Trent Reddick online. He has trouble, due to his self conscious and impulsiveness to talk with certain people, especially pretty women around his age. He is nice, if a bit awkward, sometimes unable to say what's on his mind and it becomes a jumble of nonsense instead.

He's in possession of a rare, scoped, AR-15 that belonged to his father, who had been offered a high price by Robert, Joe, and Sgt. Winters in the past for the rifle. It's a personal item for Jack now, who carries it whenever he ventures out to the Dam... in case those dogs appear again.
