Upstairs, the hall looked rather much the same downstairs. Dark. Dreary. Stained with blood... She could see down below via the railings and open spaces every five feet in the wide hall, the dorm room's construction somewhat reminding her of a prison cell block layout now that she thought of it... How oddly fitting?

She turned to Jack, and smirked, trying to get her mind off leaving Elena behind to be nommed by some giant, gruesome bat thing from hell. "So, like Rebecka?" she purred. "She's totally into you!" She teased, punching his shoulder.

As they were looking around, trying to find someone that resembled Bianca Rodriguez, Zoey's awkward question made Jack fluster and stop in his tracks. "W-what?" he coughed, turning to her then looked away. "W-we just met! I mean, she seems nice..." he says before she mentioned that she apparently was into him! Okay... just continue looking for Bea... don't get distracted. Not right now... He thought with a sigh as he held the flashlight in one hand, and the Beretta Centurian in the other. He kinda wished the frame of his pistol had a LAM rail, and also a pistol flashlight, that'd be useful than having to sweep around rooms with both... "L-lets just focus on the task at hand, Zoe?" he stuttered, flustered and slightly agitated. He wasn't sure if she was teasing him or being honest, maybe simply trying to get a rise or play 'match maker'. In either case, it was a bit too early to even begin speculating such... things. I wanna find this friend of Amanda's, then find Rin, then get the hell out of this city if we even still can! He thought, though was curious why there were monsters and zombies in the first place roaming about...

His light fell upon the other half of the corpse they found outside. The man's torso still had a combat vest, so he figured it was worth checking him out for more ammunition. "Hey, Becka, Mandy, found the other half of that guy outside. Sit tight below, gonna drop whatever we can't use up here down to you..." he says, turning to Zoe. "Hold this," he began, handing her the flashlight, before slowly making his way over to the disemboweled torso.

He hunkered down, feeling his stomach shift. He'd seen guts and blood before, but he had somewhat of a hard time keeping it back. Outside? It was mostly adrenaline that kept him from gagging. But since then, he was slowly returning to normal... "Ugh... God, what the hell did this...?" He thought out loud. There was no way it could have been a bear. This guy was thrown several of feet into the air, through a second story window or skylight! Whatever did it was very strong, and had some long arms to make a pitch like this!

He glanced back to Zoe. "Beam it down on him, gotta check his pockets." he explained, and began the grim task of flipping the half a man onto his back...

Amanda followed Jack in behind him, the heavy rifle in her hands felt a little comforting honestly now. Given the number of zombies and monsters roaming about, she wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth for such a weapon landing in their laps. Still, with everything else going on, she only hoped Bianca was doing well. She knew she could take care of herself, and she also had a gun her father forced her to get before moving into Raccoon as 'insurance'. She turned to Amanda, and looked a little flushed herself in the face. "So... know Jack long?" she asked, as they walked along, the flickering overhead lights giving her somewhat of a headache as they past the corpses of fellow residents and a couple of former guards. She heard Jack calling them from up above, and she quickly moved her pace to be beneath them, the gaps in the hall that made up the second floor's prison like cat walks would allow them to grab anything he dropped down to them. "Okay!" she shouted up. "Waiting on you, Jack!" Rebecka added. She then glanced back to Amanda, and shrugged. "Y-Ya know, just wondering is all..." she trailed off.

Upon flipping the man over onto his back, Jack would find a number of items:

4x AK-47 Magazines
1x M9 Bayonet Knife
1x Lighter
2x Smoke Grenades
1x Flashlight
2x Beretta M9 Magazines
1x Broken Radio

There was no handgun, which flew off when he was torn apart, and was likely on the rooftop or got lost while the body was in transit into the air.

Before he could rid himself of the corpse, the man's eyes flashed open- white and souless with cataract eyes- lunging at Jack with hungered fervor! Moaning, the creature attempted to bite down on Jack's face and neck!

She spat, reminded of the zombie encounter in the car! She watched as Jack swung the gross, squirming former human around on his back, tossing him further down the corridor! Jack was shouting, pointing down the dark hallway, and Zoey realized what he meant, and flashed the light down as well-

-and saw the creature beginning to crawl and growl at them! Dragging itself closer, moaning hungrily! "Holy shit, holy shit! Just like a zombie dude!!" She spat stupidly, unable to simply- ADMIT IT till this moment! She figured, yeah, maybe the people were sick? But no... that guy, that guy was clearly dead before they ran into him! No way, no how was he still breathing before they came up here! She then realized, it was still gunning for them! Jack was fumbling for his pistol, which meant it was up to her!

She drew that HK P7-M13 from her jean shorts, and raised the weapon like she was told, lining up the sights... and realized the gun wouldn't fire! "Th-the gun wont fire, Jack!" She screamed!

"Damn!" he spat, firing a second time, hitting its shoulder as it moved, dragging itself towards them again!

She pulled back the trigger, jumping a little when the gun rang off! The loud boom surprising her! Her bullet missed thanks to her jerking motion. "Fuck, I missed! Gonna try again!" Zoe cried, pulling the trigger again, though was somewhat more ready for it this time, but didn't really aim. "Fuck! Once more!" She repeated, and this time, aimed for its face as it was clawing its way over to Jack's feet again! "Just, fucking DIE!" She spat, pulling the trigger once the sights lined up with its face!

The young man lowered his handgun, and then sighed. "Good shooting..." he breathed, before glancing back up to Zoey, when he could hear Amanda calling up to them. "We're fine!" He replied, standing back up, sliding his handgun into the drop leg holster. He leaned slightly over the railing down at them. "Seems like some of the bodies don't remain dead... be on your toes! Also, found you ladies some more ammo and goodies!" he explained. "Heads up!" He added, as he dropped to them the four AK mags, and the flashlight. He slapped the smoke grenades into his hip pack, and pocketed the M9 magazines, before handing Zoey the spare M9 bayonet knife with its sheath. "Better clip this to your belt, just in case." he smiled. "And thanks." he added. "We're fine now, going to continue checking the upper floor!" He called down.

Blood splattered walls and floors, traces where zombies had passed through, as well as other creatures... She was glad now she was holding a heavy rifle, it was better than being unarmed! To think, if she had this AK back when she met Jack... half of her troubles would have been less... troublesome!

Zoe blushed with a beaming grin on being praised! "Th-thanks! Haha." she laughed, and when he presented her with the knife, she nodded and removed her belt to slide it on. "Thanks, again." Zoe replied, and soon they too were walking along. She handed him his flashlight back, and looked around for other possible enemies or monsters lurking about. "I got your back, Jack~" She rhymed playfully, oddly finding herself having a little of thrill walking around like this- though, she was of course not enjoying the situation as a whole, but she didn't feel as scared now that she was at least armed; it was a similar feeling to what Amanda was experiencing below, to an extent.

They checked the halls, knocked on some of the doors... but there didn't seem to be anyone willing to come out, other than the undead. "This is a fuckin' bust..." she sighed.

Rebecka turned to Amanda as she brought up the shit about her ex, and began to laugh with her! "Ahh... yeah, glad he's fucking gone." She waned the laughter down, before agreeing with Amanda's previous statement. "Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to have more storage space..." she says, before she took a detour towards one of the dorm rooms. She knocked and listened... when no answer was given she tried the door. "Locked..." she sighed, before stepping back and then SLAMMED her foot into the door! The door swung open on the hinges, the frame cracking as they stood before an empty room. "May as well have ourselves a look about." She winked back to Amanda, and then entered the room.

She didn't have any bags in her own room worth lugging about, but she found a small backpack in the closet, dumping its contents and handed it to Amanda. "Here, may as well make use of it." she said before she found a small hip bag, a fanny pack that was ugly as sin:



"Ugh... insta-regret..." she sighed, grabbing the ugly thing. It just barely fit around her wide hips, so she slid it up to her abdomen where the bag awkwardly draped against her right hip. "I suppose we could head over to the Gymnasium by heading through the classroom building, then cutting through the men's dorms. From that end of the campus, we can cut across the field to the Gym Building. This way, if we happen to run into anyone, we'll be able to save ourselves some time. That sound reasonable to all of you?" She asked the group.

"Sounds like a reasonable enough plan to me," Jack replied with a positive nod. "We'll be able to lead other survivors if we find any to the Gym as well, if it so happens to still be a safe haven." he added. "But yeah, I see nothing wrong with plan, I'm for it." he said with a grin.
