Warren Street Catholic Church (and Catholic Student Center)

The bells of the church rang loudly, the timer for the automatic mechanism activating and ringing the bells on time, which was unfortunate for it ushered droves of the walking dead towards the church's hallowed doors. Several screaming civilians ran for the safety of the church, some of which likely not even religious, but it made sense given the big, heavy doors of wrought iron and no other building on the block currently being safe to occupy.

Sofia Fabiani was outside the doors of the church, ushering everyone in. "This way, hurry!" She beckoned them, the tall 5'10 woman with reddish brown hair and pretty brown eyes waved them in, as she could hear the disturbance from across the street, at city hall- loud automatic gunfire and such: (here)

She could see the shambling, former people gathering in the street. They were zombies, people who had seemed to turn feral and take physical abuse beyond what is normally possible for a human being. The very same whom devoured her aunt, uncle, and nephew hours ago. She had not yet gotten over their loss, but she had no time to mourn as she put everything into saving as many people as she could and stitch them back together. She waited there as someone anxiously tugged on her denim sleeve. She was looking for anyone else who could still be alive, in need of help, before she could see naught but the living dead. She silently stepped back into the church, as she, and a business man, pulled the doors closed.

Sofia turned to pews, and counted an additional twenty five souls added to the pre-existing fifteen. Forty people... forty people... She thought, before blinking her long dark lashes. The room echoed with sobs, cries of anger, shrieks of pain. "Please," she began. "Please...!" she stammered. "Those of you who are bleeding or injured, come over here to be looked at. I'll stitch you up as best as I can." She says with a slight bow with her head, before heading over to her makeshift operating table the priest had helped her set up earlier. She fiddled with the pendant around her neck, and gulped. Its now or never... She told herself, and began to break out the first aid and surgical kits scavenged from a nearby abandoned Ambulance. It was going to be a long night...
