Police Backyard/North Parking Lot

He closed his eyes, curled his lips as he tried not to laugh. "...That is, severely inappr-just really? J-just back up the damn van." He says, lowering his guard a hair, shaking his head at the pun, still smiling though as he redirected his attention to the gate and the hungry creatures behind it.

She smiled, glad to ease the officer's nerves as he tried to not laugh at her horrible pun. Oh you are too fun to tease.

"Got it, Stan my man, movin' the van, that's the plan!" Cathy rhymed back, putting some gas on the accelerator with the car having already been ready to be reversed. She eased the van back slowly though, as to not swamp the poor man with more than just dead jokes! Just in case... she had her handgun also at the ready.

"Got it, Stan my man, movin' the van, that's the plan!" Cathy rhymed back, putting some gas on the accelerator with the car having already been ready to be reversed. She eased the van back slowly though, as to not swamp the poor man with more than just dead jokes! Just in case... she had her handgun also at the ready.

Oh jeeze, now she's rhyming... Damian smirked at the thought, ignoring the bait for now, as she began to back the News Van up. He flicked the switch to semi-fire, and when the van pulled away a handful of zombified citizens stumbled their way inside!

Sharp cracks of gunfire came from multiple trigger pulls, the submachine gun jolting against his shoulder was pretty moderate as he backed up. The 9mm rounds he fired smacked into the head and neck of an officer worker zombie, who fell over to then make way for a construction worker. Despite the hard hat, the 9mm round shattered the helmet like a clay pot and the former human fell just as easily as the first.

What he didn't account for was the dog...

A zombified doberman leaped past Damian, and began circling the yard behind him, forcing Damian to choose either a quicker target or the slower trifecta of zombies coming upon him from his left now! Before he had to choose, the Deputy Chief got out of the vehicle of his squad car with his Beretta in hand. "Lieutenant get outta the way!" He called out, both hands secure to the weapon. Damian did as he was ordered, backing out of the Chief's line of sight, and redirected his aim from the trio of zombies, to the dog. He switched the Mp5 to burst fire, and pulled the trigger a couple times, firing in a slight sweep of the weapon, knowing that he'd be able to hit the fast moving creature even if it dodged given the delay between the three rounds fired from the gun.

As anticipated, the dog dodged, or attempted to, only to be tricked into pouncing into Handy's line of fire instead. He disabled one of its legs, forcing it onto its side, while the sound of Douglas' Beretta 'pinged' behind him.

Cat watched the Deputy Chief taking aim and firing at the zombies, but as they lined up in front of her, and there was a pause for the man to reload his weapon, she put the vehicle into drive again and smooshed them into the wall! The van shook violently, windshield cracking, one of the zombies on the hood now turned to her! She yanked up Ben's VP70M and flicked the safety off before firing the weapon through the glass and into the creature's skull, painting the wall behind it in crimson gore. She then backed the vehicle up again, this time running over the dog which had fell onto its side. She cringed a little hearing the snapping of bones... and knowing it was still undead. Dammit... the virus is an evil one... She thought to herself, before exiting the cab. As she did, unaware of one of the zombies being hung up against the front bumper still alive, she felt its cool touch against her ankle, causing her to fall forwards onto the blacktop. She cringed, arms planted flat kept her from smashing her pretty face into the ground, but she could feel the thing crawling over her butt and thighs now! She snapped, swinging her body sideways, pistol whipping the undead creature across the face, her shapely legs swinging and kicking the monster off her! She began to drag her butt back, her heels pushing away from the creature, inching herself in a weird hop/crabwalk manner till it wasn't in range to bite her!

She turned her attention from the crawling zombie to the spasming dog caught under one of the rear tires, and quickly dispatched it after raising Ben's loaned pistol and firing at its head. She turned her attention to the crawler and aimed at him as well, firing another shot.

Damian was about to dispatch the dog when Cat smashed into the three zombies behind him that Douglas was taking care of, forcing him to turn to the sound of the crash. She apparently shot one of the creatures as well through the windshield, before reversing wildly, or so he believed till she rolled over the dog as he got out of the way! "Holy shit..." Damian breathed.

"The hell is wrong with her? I coulda shot her!" yelled the Deputy Chief as he loads a fresh magazine.

As cat exited, she was suddenly tripped up by a zombie whom she kicked off and began backing away from. Damian swooped in while he slung the smg over his shoulder, both arms scooping the woman up from under her arms, even as she shot the zombie and dog whilst being hoisted back up. "You okay?" He asked her removing his arms from under hers, drawing his Beretta and side stepping beside her, training the weapon down at the hood of the vehicle in case there were other surprises.

Thankfully there were none. "Clear!" He called out to the other officers, turning to Douglas with a nod. He ran to the gate and began to shoulder the thick bars, pushing it back into the wall now without the aid of the automatic pulleys... it was a bitch to move! Just gotta get it wide enough for the vehicles to pass through...! He mentally groaned, putting a lot of his strength into pushing the gate!

Ben stopped at the entrance to the parking lot seeing the scene before him as there were multiple zombies now dead and another dog "Well seems they didn't need our help" Ben let out a sigh of relief before looking to Damian who was currently wrestling with the unpowered gate, Ben climbed out of the SWAT Van "Lieutenant Damian's Fine" he called out as made his way over to help push the gate open Ben shouldered the gate a bit further up from Damian and began to push along with Handy "argh come you big bastard" Ben let out various sounds and groans as he pushed.

Kiko smiled. "Thank you Sargent." She smiled. At the mention of spiders afterwards she shivered. "Horrifying thought... as badass I like to make myself out to be, there was a tarantula once on my bike, and I had to ask a young kid working at a roadside diner to shoo it off!" she explained, but her memory betrayed her as it was actually just a common spider just chilling on her handle bar back then... but she wasn't going to say that out loud even if she DID remember...

As soon as they reached the lot, Ben got out to help the Lieutenant with the gate. "I'll help!" she exclaimed, rushing over and while the two men pushed she grabbed a pair of the bars and tried walking the stubborn gate back into place with them!

"I'm fine," She says to Handy, before the other SWAT Van showed up and both Ben and Kiko stepped out.

Kiko was helping as well, and thus she ran over to aid the biker and two police officers, doing the same as Kiko, grabbing a set of bars and began guiding the gate back into the recess of its wall. "Shit... this thing needs to be... oiled!" she grunted.

The gate groaned and squeaked loudly, the screeching soon stopped as the gate's defect was passed and then the four of them nearly fell over as the gate retreated back into the wall! "Oof!" He grunted, holding onto the gate to keep himself from falling! He waved to Deputy Chief Douglas. "Get going!" He called out.

With that, Raymond nodded and he and Arthur peeled out in squad cars with a few other uniforms backing him up. Damian saw a few officers lingering about and placed two fingers into his mouth and whistled to get their attention. "You three, guard this gate till power gets back online. You can only leave it when its closed. Got it?"

Handy then turned to Cat, Ben and Kiko. "Lets get out of here before more trouble starts." He then made his way to the back of the Van, slinging the SMG on his shoulder again and then waited for Cat to help her up into the tactical van, figuring he'd give Ben a 'change of scenery' in the cabin of the van, so to speak.

Cathy grabbed Kiko, keeping her from falling over, and she managed to let go before the gate receded into the wall. "Easy there, good work." She encouraged, before nodding to Damian's suggestion:

"Thanks." Kiko says to Cathy, before turning to Ben, following him to the passenger side. "Right, Ben Will Do, got it. Kiki works for me as well." She replied, being somewhat playful and not aware Cat was playing the same game. She was also trying to hurry her butt back into the van, feeling exposed by the gate. Popping into the passenger side door, leaving Ben to the wheel she nodded and checked her mag for the Glock 17. "Hmm...I got plenty of ammo left." she says to herself, combined with the other mags she had in her pack and jacket.

Damian, after helping Cat inside looked around, everyone seemingly ready to go. "Okay, just around the corner Ben, drop us off at the Main Hall!" He exclaimed, bolting the double doors as the vehicle rolled out.
