Weapon Storage & Firing Range Empty Weapon Storage & Firing Range

Linked to the Basement East Hall, and locked via an electronic lock requiring Police I.D. or a Blue Key Card, and is locked down in the event of a power failure. The room is composed of various equipment, ammunition and weapons along with four lockers that can be seen in front. Much of the RPD's riot gear is also located in this room. The weapon racks contain the R.P.D's armament:

The Raccoon City Police Department possessed a variety of weapons for its officers.

The standard RPD sidearm was the Beretta 92F, which was being issued to many officers to replace the older issue VP70's and Browning Hi-Powers. As mentioned, other RPD officers were provided with Hecker & Koch VP70s, which could be modified within the main building. The Browning Hi-Power was also provided. SWAT officer Kevin Ryman was known to have used his own handgun while on-duty, though this may have been a personal firearm allowed for use. Kendo Modified Desert Eagles were also in service for the RPD for use against heavily armored criminals, with at least one model known to have the RPD emblem on it. The S.T.A.R.S. vault also contained either a S&W Model 629 and the H&K Penn Arms L1 Grenade Launcher.

Officers licensed for shotguns were provided with SPAS-12s and Remington M870s.

SWAT personnel were provided with Hecker & Koch MP5 Submachine Guns. The M79 Grenade Launcher also found usage in the RPD as a crowd-control weapon. A final weapon known to have been used by the RPD was the Ingram M-11.

Firing Range

The Firing Range is a two-part room that features targets for the police officers to train or practice their aim on.

Weapon Storage & Firing Range Empty ARMORY LOCKED OUT

"I have had it with those creepy ass fucks, I don't care if I'm not supposed to be in full SWAT gear or not, I ain't leavin' this god damn precinct without it!" Andre mumbled out loud, having slipped off his police uniform and the measly riot vest that was in the upstairs armory, Andre 'Tank' Westport who had just been on gate duty with Carl 'Hillbilly' McInis and Alison was physically shaken by the events that unfolded outside. He was still unsure if it was all an elaborate dream yet or if the city had really become the stage for the latest George Romero flick!

He grabbed his favorite shotgun, and had it hanging by his hip from its chest sling as he took the MP5 from earlier and a couple magazines to fill his pouches with. He was just about packed and set to go when the lights above began flickering. "Ohhh hell nah... not now!" He spat, hurrying his ass out of the armory before the power went off and he would be trapped inside- AGAIN. It happened a few weeks ago, the generator failed during a summer thunderstorm and he was trapped inside the armory with his pants down in the complete dark for three hours! It wasn't his idea of fun then, but with flesh eating 'zombies' roaming outside it ESPECIALLY didn't sound like his idea of fun now! Even if he was surrounded by guns and supplies... being alone and in the dark knowing those things are outside? Hell no. Nope.

He managed to push through the door and into the hall before it closed and the low power setting the Armory and Range to 'Secure Mode'. "Shit... probably should have propped the door open... before it closed." He sighed, shaking his head, glad to be out of there though as his fears would have been confirmed if he had dallied any longer within. He then remembered the basement security doors, and bit his lip. "Shiiiit!" He grabbed his radio and dialed in to the Sargent's frequency. "Tank to Big Ben, you hear me Sarge? Over." He spoke into the headset as he began making his way towards the parkinglot, to see if the shutters were acting up again.

Andre was making his way through the corridor, and could hear his superior through the headset. "Here ya clear as day Big Ben. The power is actin' up again, knocked the Armory and range out of commission again. We won't be able to get inside till that gets addressed, not to mention the basement in general." He paused to check his magazine, before heading through the parkinglot door. "I'm checking the back gate, you know how that thing acts up when shit doesn't work. Might want to address this to Handyman and Cap, Over." He finishes, and heads into the parkinglot.
