After ascending the stairs and the walkway from the boathouse docks all the way up, Skybolt looked across the parking lot towards the door into the back of the administration building. No handrails were here. She needed to learn now, how to walk properly on her own. No more hand holding. And she needed to learn quickly, as she sensed the danger levels were increasing. Besides the distant crackling of fire, she could hear on the wind, the very distant moans of the dead, the sounds of far distant shooting, and screams of people. She frowned at all of this, a new thing she could do, is expressions that reflected her emotions. Something she could not do as a Shark.

With that, she took her first tentative steps forward. Still holding onto the end of the hand rail, then another, her arm extending. Until finally, she took a third step, and let go of the rail. Now standing on her own mid step. her legs shook with effort and concentration. But now, she remained upright. Her brow knotted in concentration. 'Wow, I do not know how you humans manage the logistics of this kind of concentration for so long!' she mused to herself. but her confidence was increasing the more she did it, and the more she did it, the easier it became. step after step, movement after movement. She slowly, but steadily made her way over to the back door of the administration building. It was a roller shutter of some kind, and next to it, was a glowing device with a slot on the front, along with a keypad next to it. She tried to gently lift the door up with her hands, but noted it was not going to move with gentle nudging. She could sense and smell fresh blood, and movement inside the building, but she couldn't get in this way, not unless she used her strength or her powers, and she was not confident enough in her new form yet to make that kind of attempt. She let out an irritated huff, and began to circle around the building, looking for another way in.

After circling around to the passage leading to the main entrance, past an unlocked wrought iron gate, and next to another door, she noticed a map on a plaque. She looked the map over puzzled for a few seconds before realizing it was a navigation tool humans use. She began to try and memorize the images for the future. After that, she approached the door leading back t the main entryway, and reached for the door.

Placing a hand on the side of the door frame, she reached up to the door handle, and pushed it. only to find the door wouldn't move. 'Hm? Is this not a door?' she asked herself. Before she noticed a lever on the door. The door handle. placing her hand on that, she gave it a small push down, which in turn unlatched the door, allowing her to easily push it open, and so she stepped through, to the notably much warmer interior of the building.
