Specifications:
With a a 200 mm (7.9 in) barrel, an 8-position tangent rear sight (calibrated to 800 meters (870 yd)), long range marksmanship is its primary goal. It can be further equipped with a plank-type shoulder stock, and equip a 32 round 'snail mag' drum.

Background & Other Details:


The Luger P08 is a toggle locked, semi-automatic pistol. The Luger is well known for its wide use by Germany during World War I and World War II, but it was a popular 9mm firearm at the turn of the century, first adopted by the Swiss Military. This is the 'Artillery Model', featuring a longer barrel and usually paired with a holster-convertible stock or a plank stock to assist officers within the Artillery units (as having a larger, heavier rifle may be more awkward) and by pilots where a rifle would also be an encumbrance.



These models are particularly rare, as they only saw limited use in both World Wars, but some hard core collectors have them in stock, along with their other accessories such as the 32 round snail drum magazines.



The 32 round drum is oddly ergonomic and doesn't slip out of the magazine well of the Luger easily, in spite of its heavy look.



This ensures that the relatively low capacity 9mm handgun can be effective when equipped, and make the weapon an effective carbine rifle when paired with a stock.



Not all lugers can equip the stock attachment, but many can.



There isn't a great number of these handguns in Raccoon City, but one known user is Dr. James Issac Ferral, who uses his uncle's Artillery Luger that has been maintained and cared for since its use in the WW2. Of the numerous victims its claimed by his Uncle, James has added more souls to the weapon- including members of his research team, Aaron, Tina, Edward, Ricardo, Hinako- to name just a few.
