The Luger P08 is a toggle locked, semi-automatic pistol. The Luger is well known for its wide use by Germany during World War I and World War II, but it was a popular 9mm firearm at the turn of the century, first adopted by the Swiss Military.



This turn of the century firearm is a rare piece of military history, and is typically found in museums or private collections stateside. It was the standard sidearm for many militaries and nations, most noticeably by Germany through World War 1 and 2. Alfred Ashford, of Umbrella Inc, is a collector of war memorabilia, and supposedly has an entire collection of turn of the century weapons at his private residence and the 'Palace'- Rockfort Island's Administration building/Officer's club, with a pair of infamous, decorative lugers used as key to his private office:



There is no certainty that any such weapons are procurable within Raccoon City, nor its rarer yet accessory- a barrel accessory which silences the 9mm handgun that was tested briefly for special forces back in the day.
