Re: Library
[from here]
She stepped out into the upper floor of the library. It was odd for the station to have one, as it looked far too public to be archives. She didn't dwell too much on it, the sound of gunfire muffled somewhat in this large, open room. The wooden catwalks creaking as she walked about it. She found it somewhat amusing that no one was around to tell her 'no' as she snooped. She saw a ladder to her left and stairwell off to the far right across the narrow catwalk. Since she was in heels, she figured it was best to simply take the stairs; besides, being uncomfortable with her striped sherbet dress being open to anyone below her to see clear as day... even if she knew, no one was around in the library to peep at her panty clad cheeks. She could see a door to the far left, leading likely to the third floor balcony of the main hall if her orientation of the building's interior began to stick with her. She did have a mission, but getting used to one's surroundings was a priority in case things went awry...
She decided to take the stairwell down, the wooden steps creaking loudly as she stepped off the landing and began to peruse the shelving for information. It looked like rather public record material stuff, things you'd see in a regular library. She supposed this station doubled as a library, given its history. She slid the leather bound book in her hand back onto the shelf and moved along to the next room, a door leading to a small art room showcasing a statue she at first thought was a Cerberus, the Three Headed Dog of Myth, but upon closer inspection realized it was a unicorn cast in bronze. "Hmm... this is an odd room to have..." She thought, stepping inside, and noticed the statue overlooked the lobby/waiting room below she had seen when entering the Main Hall. She kept her distance, noticing the crying survivors milling about in the room, and didn't want to be spotted. She backed up to a door, and realized that this one had to lead towards the STARS hallway again. It really was a confusing layout, she wasn't surprised that the officers had trouble solving the murder cases when their own station was a mystery in and of itself...
She turned around, heading back into the library and decided she'd take a look around the library once more, before she'd move up to the third floor balcony of the main hall anyway. There may be information of use to her stowed away in the public records... at least things concerning layout of the city. Still... the best place to check for real info would be the Chief's office... and she was certain it was somewhere on the opposite side of the building to where she currently stood...

Re: Library

Kaori left the 2F Lobby, and entered the rather grandiose library left as a reminder of the station's former history as an art museum. She could see other civilians were gathered within the hall, the soft glow of candles illuminating their menagerie of expressions. Most were simply in shock, others were angry, more were terrified. She couldn't even begin what horrors lay in wait outside, having only seen or heard the secondhand stories and rumors. She needed to press on however, and swiftly she pushed herself out the door marked with that Spade Key symbol again, heading out into the main hall...
