Sounds of Mariah Careys “breakdown” playing softly came from inside of her dorm room as she got dressed, hips swaying gently to the melody as she finished drying, her caramel toned skin still glistening a bit from the hot shower. She had her dorm room all to herself tonight since her roommate went to the big game. As much as she had planned to go, her boss had her doing a lot of file shuffling and hunting for him and his team which was strange, usually He let her go an hour or so early for big events but today she didn't get that lucky.

Black panties were slipped on over that plump, toned rear of hers before getting out her lotion, applying some to her hands she quickly applied the soft vanilla and honey shea butter lotion to her body. Starting from her toes and working her way up. After a few moments she was covered and continued to get dressed. Slipping her black leggings on as well as a fresh, black lace bra that covered those 34 C breasts, She frowned a bit as she looked in her closet. Shifting her weight from one leg to the other she finally settled on a pink sweater that cut off enough to show that well toned athletic stomach of hers. Slipping it on she stopped to look in the mirror for a second “Good thing the freshman 15 didn't hit, otherwise this would more Missy Elliot than Aaliyah ” she thought to herself as she slipped on some white and pink socks over her delicate feet. Finally she got her sneaker box out, removing the black and white high tops, brand new she had bought at the mall not even a full day ago. Sitting down on the bed she slipped the sneakers on and tied them up before standing.up.

Silver hoop earrings were put on as well as her necklace, before she gave one final look in the mirror and a small nod in approval before picking up her backpack from beside her bed. Turning the radio off mid Dru Hill song, “swallow you like Reeses pieces” the last part of the song she heard as the radio went silent. Keys were picked up as she stepped out of the dorm room. Aside from a few other girls in their rooms it seemed pretty quiet . People were probably either studying or at the game probably. “Might as well get a bite to eat then go study” she thought to herself as she began to walk down the hall towards the stairs.

Brianna's footsteps echoed as she walked down that long hallway. The silence becoming oddly deafening as she hit the stairwell. Big game or not, there was always the odd person running about at this hour from running between one dorm room to another, using the public restroom or to leave and grab some late time munchies. The air was still... practically dead. As she got towards the exit, where the overhead lights flickered, she could see that something was clearly... wrong. The glass doors leading out to the parking lot... had a hand print pressed into it... and it was rust red in color. Not only there, but the cement steps leading into the parking lot had large amounts of this red fluid, in puddles... leading to a car that was idling in the bushes, door ajar and the light on inside. No passengers nor driver present... upon further inspection, she would notice this red stain was also on the inside... staining the white tile beneath her feet, it lead into the nearest bathroom... the door's knob covered in dripping crimson ichor...

She was so focused on thinking about what to eat she hadn't noticed the red on the tiles until she nearly slipped in the liquid. converse were alot of things but lacked traction in the wet, combined with a back pack containing a few of her textbooks, she nearly fell and busted her ass. gaining her balance she stood there for a moment to inspect what that stuff was..and why it lead towards a bathroom. "Forget it bri this is how black people die in horror movies" she thought to herself as she took in what she was seeing..handprints..the car outside and all the blood..she she took a deep breath and turned towards the bathroom. slowly pulling the door opened before that lovely southern drawn voice of hers called out in the bathroom "Hello? is anyone in here?" Her foot steps, now thanks to the blood making that nasty sticky sound with each step she took deeper into the bathroom to investigate.

Blood puddles lead up and around one of the many stalls... the mirror reflecting nothing back to her at the moment... but as soon as she rounded the corner... she could see the last mirror was smashed in! Blood dripped from the central spiderweb of mangled polished glass...and her large eyes would soon fall upon a the side profile of a woman hunched over the sink. She was a student, Bri met her a few times in passing, but probably wouldn't remember her name, as they shared no classes. She was deathly pale, her large blue eye looking into the spider web of broken glass in front of her. She was wearing a football jacket, 'Raccoon Sharks!' was stitched onto the back, with a rather fearsome shark sporting football gear on the back. She looked pale but otherwise fine... when one would realize the side of her jeans wasn't dark because of design, but from a hidden wound under her jacket, dripping down her pant leg... She was whimpering rocking back and forth, staring at the mirror, her features seeming to get paler by the moment, her long blond hair which was in a ponytail was slick with sweat which continued to drip down her ghastly features... Bri only seeing her left profile yet.

The blond girl raised a hand to her face and shuttered, her left eye turning towards Brianna when she heard the squishy footsteps and the southern drawl.

Something felt off, she wasn't sure what but there was something, upon seeing the girl she gave her a quick glance, before looking at the smashed in mirror. she stood about two sinks from the girls location as she looked her over..she looked familiar but they weren't friends or anything. "You good? cause that's alot of blood out there.." she was concerned but.. kept her distance..her backpack was shifted a bit, freeing her left shoulder from the strap as she continued to take in the scene.

The woman blinked at the voice. "Hello...?" she called back, weakly. She noticed, the woman two sinks away, and smiled, cackling slightly. "Oh... heh.. heh... hey..." she says wearily. "You... think?" She began, wincing, turning her head to face Brianna....

Half her face was missing.

One side was a perfectly sculpted face, which became ragged and torn by the time it crossed over to the right side of her nose... Muscle and sinew was exposed, her teeth and jawline exposed from the lack of a cheek! Her right eye ball, cloudy, dangled out of her socket, leaning against taught, writhing muscle oozing red fluid down her neck... where the rest of her face flapped like a rubber mask off the side of her boyfriend's jacket! You could see the eyelids and lashes where the eye area parts lined up from where it dangled! "...think I could fix this...?" She says, her right hand... missing her ring and pinky fingers, a gash- no, bite wound was where the fingers should have been! Her bloody stumps pushing up on the flap of skin, trying to... 'fix it', as it were...

Oh hell no ran through her mind upon seeing this mess that was infront of her, which caused a bit of an awkward silence for a moment. Did I eat an edible? this can't be real! she thought to herself again. before she spoke in a half reassuring tone, "Yeah y..you might need some foundation but..it aint that bad...tell you what though I'm gonna go find that number for 911 so they can check you out..ummm..don't move. I'll be back ok?" she said this while walking backwards somethings just..nah not the time tonight

The woman shuttered for a moment, her jaws opened, her lower jaw stretching out what little skin remained on the right side of her cheek as she began to convulse, and chunder! Green... bile shot up from her throat, splashing the sink and tiles just a foot or so away from Brianna's feet! The scent of bile was gross and fetid... but oddly enough the bile was sizzling, eating through the sink and floor! The blonde put a hand to her jaws and twitched a little. "I...don't... fee... soh... gud..." she says, her voice becoming more of a moan... her working hands reached over to the flap of skin on her face as she wobbled drunkenly towards Bri... "So... itchy... hungry... need to scratch.... eat... urk!" She chundered again- but this time the bile shot TOWARDS Brianna like a projectile! It hit the wall beside her head... the acids working quickly in dissolving the 'no smoking' metallic sign hung up there!

She shambles towards Brianna... who would notice her veins on her 'healthy-ish' side of her face were becoming black, her skin quickly a bluish grey... and her blue eye became brighter... almost icy blue! She smiled. "Food. Foood. Foooooooooooo...." her voice trailing into an unintelligible, low, primal moan! The 'partial mask' of her face fell away, dislodging her jaw, leaving it wide enough that it fell closer to her neck! Her tongue was practically blue, and it waggled like a snake as she shambled at a generously quick pace towards Bri! "Uhnnnnnnnn!" She moaned, her eyes...even the foggy one, locking on to her!

Streets of Memphis instincts took over at this point as she unslung the backpack from her back,two mid 90s hardback science text books combined with a swing that would make barry bonds proud, She was aiming to knock this heffer into next week!

The scoliosis inducing bag swung wildly, but powerfully at the feral woman's deteriorating face! The heavy SMACK emitted from the blow sent the woman against the closest sink... her flesh peeled over the bag! The... thing then creaked its neck bones in an eerie manner, twitching and turning its flesh-less face towards Brianna! "Oooooooo!!!" The creature moaned, her grubby hands flailing towards the woman, its head leaning against its right shoulder... as if dislocating its neck! Its vigor didn't seem to change one bit in spite of the blow, as it reached out with more bile crawling up its throat!

Suddenly, Brianna would feel a slight tap on her right shoulder, a powerful grip that pulled her back through the open bathroom doorway. Shen she turned to see who had done this, the hallway was empty, but her ears/mind would hear a stern voice speak.

There were times she needed to be told more than once to do something..this wasn't one. As sudden as she was out in the hallway and someone told her to run she was out! that backpack was slung onto her right shoulder as she sprinted as fast as she could. hitting the door leading outside into the night air she was in full track mode across the parking lot "Thank you voice in my head!" she cried out. not really caring if it sounded crazy. she just seen a girl in the bathroom looking like she came out of the thriller video so crazy wasn't even on her mind at this point as she kept running. just what the hell was going on?!

Brianna as she ran, heard a shrill scream turn to a gurgling moan, as one of the dorm's curious poked her head out only to be attacked by 'Bathroom Becky', who chomped onto her neck after attempting to stumble after Bri! Outside, and seemingly clear of danger... Bri would hear distant sirens, from across Ennerdale Bridge, not too far from the campus. Red and blue flashing lights dotted the bridge, and from further off... low booming sounds, like fireworks or cherry bombs going off- but there was no light show, and they were louder than mere cherry bombs... they were like the pops of a handgun, or the booming of a high powered rifle or shotgun... The city was dark in most areas, and... on the wind, you could swear.... you could hear screams... and moans.

She came to a halt as she heard and seen some of the chaos that was unfolding all around her which sent a shiver up her spine as she heard the guns..she knew handgun sounds fairly well but those others..she couldn't place.. as she stood there she moved a little towards a light which lit the walkway..if anything was gonna come at her at least she had a bit of time to see what it might be. Crossing her arms she leaned back against the light post to figure out her next move. I could take and try to get to the police department..they have guns and I should be safe" she thought. realistically that would probably be her safest bet. She considered campus security for a moment but the sounds of those handguns firing made it seem like a bit more then they were prepared to handle.After letting out a bit of a sigh, she looked around before deciding to try to make it to her car and figure out the next course of action there.

A Sheriff's department 4x4 with its red and blues flashing was spinning out of control as it rounded the corner of the parking lot, speeding towards Brianna before it hit a curb, spinning into a parked car, flipping onto its side, sliding upon the asphalt, sending up a shower of sparks as it dragged along the parking lot! The vehicle then flipped onto it roof, the siren's bleating winding down as it died. The windshield was covered in blood, and a figure, a deputy, was pulling himself out from the driver side window. He was drenched in blood, crawling out as he dragged along the ground. "Ugh.. oh... God... I... can't feel my... legs..." he weakly cried. "Gotta... get... to-to the station..!" He shouted, trying to keep himself awake, to pull himself up.

Nearly being splattered by the Sheriff's SUV, she had dove out of the way, landing with a thud on the warm asphalt of the parking lot,before rolling over to look at the bloodied officer climbing out of the vehicle.."At least someone is having a worse day then me" she said softly before standing up. A quick dust off of her backpack and the back of her legs before making her way over to the suv to render aid to the Officer "Here, let me help you" she said as she looked to see if there was anything he was stuck on.

There was a large glass shard which was sticking out the middle of his gut, blood continued to pour out from the wound. He didn't look like he was going to make it, his injuries were too severe... He grabs hold of the woman's arm, his eyes large, his right eye blood shot as he fought back shock: "P-Police... need to get to.. station!" he started. "P-partner g-g-got bit. H-he he attack-attacked me. Wouldn't... die. Shotgun to the chest, but nothing. Yo-you can't get bit. You can't get bit!" He strained, gripping her tightly before his strength diminished quickly. "You... gotta... shoot... the head..." his voice faded, and his head fell limply against the asphalt, his eyes distant and was no longer breathing...

A Glock 17 was in his holster, as was a flashlight and a bowie knife.

She had never held a gun much less fired one outside of playing goldeneye at her boyfriends back home. Moving away from the wreckage she shifted her focus towards the street. "If I take my car to at least the bridge I cut down on the chance of becoming a chew toy for these things" she thought as she made her way across the lot towards her little Acura. The car keys being removed from the side pouch of her bag as she made her approach.

A warm September wind blew through the parking lot as Brianna made her way back to her vehicle. Here she was, a police vehicle, upturned, officer dead, a weapon in hand, and yet no one was panicking. The parking lot was empty, no one came outside to inspect the crash, and even the screams from the dorm room had gone silent. That was... till she got within feet of her vehicle.

"SOMEBODY HELP!" Screamed a young man, bleeding from the neck, being chased by three, four people like 'Bathroom Becky'. They were shambling, but he was injured, running from the men's dormitory! "Oh GOD!" He screamed, as the... things grabbed him, pulled him down and began... eating him. Three more of these things were shambling from behind the train stop, one of them missing an arm! They seemed to lock on to Brianna's scent, as they were now shambling for her, arms out stretched, what remained of them.

"Uhhhhhhn...."

"Oooooo...."

"Uhn...uhn....ooooo..." they moaned hungrily, their white eyes locking in on Brianna's!

She winced at the horrific scene that was happening with the poor guy becoming the human equivalent of free pizza night, which caused her to throw up in her mouth a little bit. Her sickness however quickly passed as she noticed three more of those..living challenged people coming at her quickly! Aiming the glock towards one of them she pulled the trigger...nothing.. "What the shit how did I get a gun with no bullets!?!" she screamed out before quickly starting to move in the opposite direction. It hadn't dawned on her the SAFETY was on! would she find out in time?

The creatures continued their chase, oblivious to her show of threat, the gun that did not fire off. The three creatures were thankfully slow, so the chase wasn't as frantic as it could have been. However, the small pack that had feasted on the poor bastard also turned their attention on Bri, and began to chase after her as well! Like the others, they were slow, blood dripping from their features, the hobbled for her, rushing along as quickly as they could!

Looking back her heart felt like it was in her throat now as she seen the pack had grown alot. she kept running. thankfully they were slow enough that she could keep distance from them.Being out in the open like this was proving to be the worst idea she had since deciding to go to school here. Turning the corner she broke into more of a full out sprint towards another one of the dorms. making a bee line straight towards the heavy metal door, praying that it wasn't locked or blocked.

Thankfully for the coed, the doors burst open easily, swinging open wildly to an open hallway! The hallway before her was well lit, and gave her a great view of-

-a shambling figure was at one end of the hall. It was turning towards her slowly, a campus security officer who had a deep bite mark on his neck, his skin pale and sweaty, his gun raised. "Down!" He says, pulling the trigger of his Glock 17, shooting at the creatures behind Brianna!

The figures behind Bri recoiled from the pot shots, a couple of them falling from head shots, others fell from the bullets taking out their limbs, giving Bri a little room to breathe.

Soon as she seen the man and heard down she did that!. The beauty going into pretty much a slide into home plate dive to the floor which, given her attire caused her to let out a bit of a whine in pain as the wax floor made contact with her bare stomach as she slid to a stop at the mans feet. Rolling onto her back she starred at the pack of shufflers before breathing a small sigh of relief."Thank you, I rather have wax burn on my stomach right now then a chunk bit out my ass"

The security guard chuckled weakly, reaching down to help her up. "...well, both should be the least of your worries right now. I don't know whats going on, but people are fucking eating each other like its going out of style." He says, hobbling over to the double doors, using a fire axe to bar the door. "Ugh... fuck." He hissed, gripping his neck, turning to her, noticing the gun in her hand. "So its like this around the entire campus, eh? Can't get in touch with the Police, something's jamming the radios, and all the phones are dead." he says, leaning on the door. "We're not safe here... a few of those... freaks are in the administration building. I just took out a couple on this wing. Shit, this stings!" He hissed through his teeth, the bite wound on his neck seemed to look even worse when he took a look at her pistol again, somewhat wearily. "...your safety's on."
