Background & Other Details:
The model 19 (M19) is a blued police revolver which was introduced in 1957 all over the US. It was the Raccoon City Police Department's weapon of choice in the '50s till it was replaced with the Kendo Lawman. It's still a mainstay of the Arklay Sheriff's department and Arklay Mountain & Forest Ranger Service in the 4 inch barrel configuration. Since the weapon is a .357 Magnum Revolver, it can easily chamber .38 Special as well when magnum rounds are on low supply.

It is also a weapon used by Umbrella Security Guards throughout Sheena Island.
