East Office/Detective Offices
It is the east office of the Raccoon City Police Station, used by the R.P.D.'s detective units, and various other officers. Officers like Lieutenant Damian Handy and Sargent Ben Winters who have a desk in this office while waiting for the S.T.A.R.S. office to be cleared out; where they will move in with other members of the recently formed S.W.A.T. Unit that Lt. Handy and Captain Cahil oversee. The office is larger than the one in the west wing, and contains multiples boxes, a copy machine, several computers, files and cases. Lieutenant Marvin Branagh shares a desk with Lieutenant Damian Handy in the small office in the back which contains a computer desk with some papers stacked on top. Across from it on the floor in the corner lays a small locker that needs the code to unlock.
A hall in the back leads to the emergency stairwell to the right, and the hallway to the Night-Duty room and Basement Stairs to the left.

The main door to the eastern office opens, Sergeant Ben Winters enters ready to begin his 12 hour shift he quietly wanders over to his desk to be greeted by a pile of paperwork most of it just random stuff that required sorting and checking. Ben looks around the office “Seems quiet tonight wonder where everyone else has got too, ah well I’m sure they will show up eventually” Ben then sits back in his chair and begins sorting the mound of papers on his desk waiting for someone else to show up or at the very least something exciting to happen.

Re: East Office/Detective Offices
Not even a minute passed when Officer Kamura came in the office with a rather unruly woman in a pair of handcuffs. "Hey! HEY! That bitch had it coming to her! She called me a 'you know what' so I hit her!" the dark haired Asian woman screamed as she was being escorted to the cells in the back. Sam looked tired, and she was about to get off shift; as they say it was always the last hours of a shift that were the busiest!
As for the woman she was holding in her custody, Kiko Aihara, she was infuriated and suddenly passed off to another officer. "Oh come on! It was self fucking defense!!" she screamed, as she was carried off to the hall past the offices, forced to take a left and down the hall to the basement. It wasn't regular procedure she supposed, but Kiko was a bit of an ass before she got to the station, and perhaps escalated the situation from a simple talk to being forced to cool off in the cells for a few hours...

Sam Kamura Prelude:
September 23rd, 1998...
6:15 PM
After handing her charge off to George Scott, Samantha sighed, and leaned against Sargent Ben Winter's desk with her arms folded. "Right when you think your shift is up, all hell breaks loose." she says shaking her head. She glanced down at Ben's deskload and frowned. "Sorry to say it, but I'm glad I'm not the only one the Chief is hounding on in terms of paperwork. Dammit, winter's coming too soon, shelving the motorcade till late spring puts me in the unique misfortune of being the Chief's new 'secretary'. Can't you try to put a word in to either of the Lieutenants? To try and get me to work patrol?" She pleads, clasping her gloved fingers together in a prayer mannerism.
The two could hear the Asian woman from before causing a ruckus down the hall. Sam further clarified: "There's something wrong with the parking ramp's shutters, so we couldn't take her the usual way to the holding cells. Of all the things the Chief could do to make this building better is some proper fucking electricity. Hell, half the lights on this wing were out yesterday! But instead we get more tacky art to store up in the attic. Either way, the lady's name is Kiko Aihara, drifter apparently. She claimed to be 'defending herself' against some bitch over at Jack's. She's at Raccoon General recovering from some injuries, but Mike's on that woman's case. Other than her less than amicable attitude, Ms. Aihara was, as stated by the other witnesses, 'in the right'. We're only gonna hold her for the night, let her blow off some steam, in the meantime we've impounded her motorcycle and weapons; for christsake she had a lever shotgun and a competition handgun on her! She presented permits for both, but we'll have to check them in the morning. I tried radioing in Arklay County Sheriff's Department, but all I'm getting is static. Could be Raccoon Radio's signal cutting into our frequencies again, but in either case should clear up by the morning." She informed her colleague, sighing again, tired from the drama. It was about time for her to clock out...
((OOC: So writing these series of posts with Ben for the moment, detailing what Sam did on the 23rd as my posts in my home are taking place on the 24th ))

Sam smiled wearily. "I think I'll do that, thanks Ben." She replied, before standing up, walking over to the exit, before turning to Ben once again. "She's a bit testy that one, better keep a close eye on her!" She chuckled, walking out.

Kiko's ponytail waggled as she shook her head left and right. "Oh come on! This isn't fair!" She stammered, being handed off from one male officer to another, who seemed to be of a higher rank. She leveled her dark blue eyes upon the young man, then the woman and then the young man again. She wanted to put up a fight, but a part of her knew that it wouldn't do her any further justice. "...ugh, fine." She shrugged her shoulders, the cuffs around her wrists were uncomfortable. "So, which way am I heading?" She asked.

Ben was back at his desk shuffling through it's contents he had a few 9mm Magazines his very own Samurai Edge Elite II Model which was a gift from Lieutenant Handy who was good friends with Barry Burton and the Kendo Brothers. Ben was due to finish at 6:00AM but ended up staying longer so he could finish up the paperwork he had left over, Ben sat in his chair for a moment and looked at his watch “7:30, hmm Nobody else coming in today?” He asked himself his girlfriend Rachel was due in at 7 but she was nowhere to be seen, He couldn't even get through to her via phone as the phone lines were being “Fucky” Ben began to worry “Someone has usually turned up by now, Something feels off” Ben grabbed his possessions and got up out of his chair "Better go see where everyone's got too"

A fellow police officer, George Scott, entered the office and nodded to Ben. "Sargent? Mind if you come with me for a moment? Deputy Wheeler is here from the Arklay County Sheriff's department, he wanted to speak with officer on night watch... and since you're here yet, figured you'd be willing to speak with him? He's over in the West Office speaking with Captain Cahill." he explained. "I can go get that woman from holding, her bail checks out."

Re: East Office/Detective Offices
Kiko was brought back to the offices through the way she had come before, and turned to the officer. "So, how about my weapons and bike? I will be getting them back, yes?" She asked, very concerned. That STI alone was $2000, the scope a further $1800. It was a competition pistol she earned and deserved, back when she was living in California with her boyfriend... She closed her eyes, locking the painful memories away and shook it off. "For what I paid for them? They better not even have a single scratch!"

He begins, before adding: "Our systems been down, so its just that much harder to verify everything. Lemme look at the database, okay?" George replied, walking over to a computer and began to pluck away at the keyboard. Another officer walked by, towards the hall Kiko and George had just came from. This caused George to pause his search. "Hey, Cam, where you headed off to?" He asked, the young man he was talking to turned briefly in mid walk. "The phones and radios are all a mess, Cahill wants someone to get Sargent Kamura. I'll be back in a few." After that, George didn't press further, and went back to it. After a few minutes, the officer looked back at Kiko and frowned. "Well, your handgun is locked in evidence for the time being, and your shotgun is still on the side of your bike... which is unfortunately in Uptown Raccoon City at the impound garage. They ain't open yet darlin, but you're more than welcome to stay in the lobby or main hall till then. We'll have someone get your handgun when we can, and I assure you, its in pristine condition." He says. "Now, lemme escort you to the lobby, you can't be in this office I'm afraid."

He was half expecting to hear that her pistol was gonna be flagged by an outside law enforcement office, and her heart sank when he said it was stored in evidence... but internally blew a sigh of relief when he didn't. However, this changed when he mentioned her bike. She was not at all pleased with his answer. "Well, when are they open? I mean, I don't live here. I'm just passing through. Where am I supposed to stay without that bike?" She asked, getting a little hot under her collar.

"Ten O'Clock I'm afraid. Hell, help yourself to the vending machines or even go across the street, nice cafe there and all." He says trying to put her at ease, but failing. "Mike Thomson is the guy in charge over at the impound. When you do get there, as a reminder your shotgun is listed as being in his office; again sorry for the inconvenience but apparently the officer on duty delivering your bike to the garage failed to notice it till he got there." he says, standing up, gently nudging her towards the doors. "We'll... hold on to your pistol till ya, you know... get your bike." He says, failing to mention the cost for getting her bike out of the impound lot at the moment. He got a dangerous vibe off her, but her record checked out, for the most part, and the assault charge was dropped due to witness testimony... yet he could see her going postal, and having a loaded weapon on hand, running out to get her bike back wasn't a smart move. They already fucked up sending her bike over with the shotgun still on it...

He eyes were wide. "Te-ten?!" As she felt his hand against her, trying to nudge her out of the room, she pushed them away! "Firstly, what kind of dumbass cop leaves a loaded shotgun on a bike, and not notice it? Secondly, what am I going to do for three hours? Hell, what is it going to cost me when I get there? Thirdly, don't you fucking touch me!" She spat, furrowing her brows, her ponytail swaying with her angry body gestures as she berated the officer!

Another cop, one far less patient stood up and walked over to where the woman was now starting to shout and argue. "Firstly, Yes, 10:00 in the AM is when the impound lot opens it's doors for business. No, we cannot change that or make an exception for you. Second - What kind of dumbass gets herself arrested in a rural town for having a drunken brawl, knowing it's against the law in every state in the country? Don't do stupid shit and get arrested and maybe your bike, weapons and freedom wouldn't have gotten taken away for the night. Third - Go for a walk, get a bite to eat, go see a movie, It's a free country, so go do whatever you like, just do it outside of a restricted area! And finally - If you DON'T move your ass out of here right now, you can get your ass back in that cell for trespassing. Have I been as clear as I can possibly be Ms.Ahira?" the larger, and far less friendly officer said with a cold stare into the raving woman's eyes.

Kiko turns to the man with cold eyes, unflinching even as he shouted back at her. "Well I shouldn't have to, but I did. I kicked that racist bitch's ass, and she's lucky thats all I did!" She spat back. She held her ground for a moment, but she wasn't going to let pride get the best of her and put her back in jail. As she turns to head out the double doors, she pauses and looks over her shoulder. "And its Aye-hara, bumpkin." she rolled her eyes, and exited into the East Wing's lobby and payphone hall. She stuffed her hands into her jacket pockets and looked around, shaking her head. "Fuckin' hillbillies..." She makes her way into the main hall.

Re: East Office/Detective Offices
The officer stared at Kiko's back as she left the offices, before returning to his own desk. The initial officer turned to look at him in annoyance. "Was that really necessary Darren?" he said in a grating tone.
Darren turned to look at him with a derisive look. "Well you certainly wern't getting her cute ass out the door, Mark. We got work to do and she was busy choking up our time even after bashing a citizen of our town.... She's a fucking drifter armed to the teeth and she's complaining because she got caught, not because she did the wrong thing."
"Thats not the point," said Mark. "We've gotta be professional and courteous in the line of duty. You're giving us a real bad impression of being nothing but hillbilly redneck assholes out here, just like she said."
"If you can't handle a little bloody nose Mark, then maybe you should go home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here, even for cops," retorted Darren. "Leave the actual work to those that have a thicker skin than a stretched balloon."

She could hear the hillbilly trash continue to talk to the other officer. She closed her eyes and sighed heavily. Replaying the last moments of speaking with that asshole out in Montana... She shook her head as if to shake the memories away. She couldn't dwell on the past. She was gonna take that Hillbilly's advice and walk about. Heh, I guess Mr. Reporter was right, there is something wrong with this town.
She reopened her eyes and takes another breath, before resuming her entry into the main hall.
