Front Yard and Front Gates

RAVEN landed, cloaked in his thermitic stealth device and recessed himself behind the trees and shadows that lined the area around the main entry doors. If all went well, he would be able to get Irons out without having to cause too much of a fuss as the outbreak had not reached the RPD building yet.

He exited the exosuit, leaving the towering suit standing, cloaked and invisible to the naked eye, while the man shrugged on a leather coat over his tank top and cargo pants. Slid on a pair of shades and slicked back his salt and pepper silver and black hair, before walking into the doors, his only weapons were his twin custom .55 DAEs concealed in his armpit holsters beneath the coat.

A few moments later, RAVEN exited the building once again, and returned to where he hid his suit. Placing the handcannons back in the suits holsters, he climbed back into the armored frame, which sealed around him once more.

The armored veteran considered storming the station now, to eliminate potential trouble in future missions, but refrained. The outbreak had yet to take full hold, and did not fully trust the communications blackout Umbrella had created.

Instead, he took off in silence. He had to wait for more people to assemble there before eliminating obstacles.

Kiko stepped out of the station, her pink vinyl purse hidden under the black of her jacket. She took a a short walk down the landing continuing forward till she paused, and looked back at the station as a whole.


"Hm... a bunch of pomp and grandeur, but in the end... still smells like pig shit." she spits on the steps, turning around and headed out the gate onto Ennerdale street. A warm wind blew past her as she made her way into the street. She was gonna look for a place to buy some cigarettes and food, even though she didn't smoke. May just start, after today's fiasco. God, this city is a joke. I can't wait to get my bike, and then get the hell out of this place! She thought, unaware what was happening only blocks away...

Finally she had made it to the police station, bringing the little Acura to a stop outfront she let out a deep sigh as she tried to get herself together. the images she had seen, people being eaten alive, that poor girl in the bathroom who tried to attack her, and Ethan who she hoped would be alright and at least made it back inside to safety. Pulling the Ebrake up she shut the car off before opening the door to make her exit back into the night air. She was feeling a little fatigued at this point, the amount of adrenaline put out had her feeling as if she had been at a track meet all day."C'mon girl get inside, once there you can relax a bit and get some help for those on campus" she thought, as she began to walk away from the Integra, eyes darting to the blood splatter on the front of the car and shattered headlamp from running over a few of those things back on campus. With the glock securely in her left hand, she started making her way towards the gate. She left her backpack in the car since well, she didn't really think she was gonna need it in a police station at the moment..

"Someone? Anyone? HELP!" Kiko cried, running back the way she had came from, stumbling in her steps, which is bad when holding a switchblade in hand, being chased by freaks who were well passed their expiration date! She thought about how she looked right now, running with a weapon towards a police station... that was simply the recipe to get shot. I can't worry about that, they're right behind- She paused those thoughts, looking over her shoulder, no one was in sight. She stopped, turning around, back stepping. "Wha-what?" She gasped, sweat sliding down her bouncy curves, the contours of her face and neck.

Her ears perked a little as she pushed the gate open hearing someone scream.she couldn't see anyone yet so she just stepped on through the gate. leaving the gate opened. She figured if someone was coming at least they didn't have to worry about the heavy gate. standing off to the side a bit if something was coming through the fence that she ain't like what was coming through she could shoot it in the head.

I need a team over by the Stadium on the double, we need to get a hold of the Mayor and the Chief before they fall into whatever the hell is going on out there!" He ordered, and the officers began to scatter. He turned to the Senior Deputy and motioned him to come along. "I'm sorry about your deputies, we'll start a full search as soon as we secure whatever the hell is going on in Raccoon, Wheeler." Cahill promised, opening the door to the main hall.

Red and blues began flashing as several squad cars and two of the SWAT vehicles rolled out of the back parking lot of the station and from the underground shutter which had been pried open by the officers moments before, and held in place with forklifts. The black and white Crown Victorias took the streets of Raccoon City and began to speed off in a variety of directions, to establish some sort of effort to reduce the city's overall panic that was starting to bubble. Several vehicles began to head to St. Michael's Stadium, others towards some of the local bars and hangout places.

Several police sirens filled the air in a bleating, monotonous manner, red and blue flashes reflecting off the walls of the buildings around Ennerdale and Flower street, the vehicles picking up speed as officers took to the streets to actually do something, and reunite with officers who were already on the beat and coming into contact with what was tearing Raccoon City apart!

One of these squad cars swerved to avoid an Asian woman (Kiko), as it sped past her towards the direction of the University.

Cahill entered the Main Hall with Deputy Wheeler, and saw the front doors closing. He turns to the receptionist sharply. "Who was that?"

"That was that woman who was arrested yesterday? She paid for her bail so we let her go." She replied confused by the sudden look of panic. Cahill shook his head. "Doris, head into the West Office, assist Doug with trying to establish contact with our missing officers." He orders. The woman nodded, getting up and made her way to the West Office. Cahill then turned to Wheeler. "Well Deputy Wheeler, how about we try to reach out via Raccoon City Radio. Should be a short trip if we head out now, where did you park?" He asked.

"Up front, heard your shutter had a malfunction again." the African American police man smirked, leading to Cahill to roll his eyes. "Spare me the jabs Wheeler, but seriously this damn station needs a change after whatever's happening today." He says opening the door for Wheeler.

As Cahill and Wheeler opened the doors to the main hall and entered the front courtyard, both of them turned their attention towards the woman with the gun (Bri). Wheeler drew his Glock, and Cahill his Browning HiPower, as they trained their weapons on the woman. "Mam, put the weapon down!" Captain Cahill demanded. "Slowly, and turn with your hands in the air, chest against the wall!" Senior Deputy Wheeler chimed in. They approached her, safety off. Both RPD officer and Sheriff Deputy were wondering now if this was some sort of terrorist attack on the city at large; Cahill was a Desert Storm vet, former Green Berets and had been transferred in from New York City SWAT to assist with the RPD's SWAT force and had seen some weird shit in his time regarding terrorism.

The pair continued to approach the woman slowly, ready to fire at her if necessary... but Cahill noticed she didn't look like she was about to make a head on assault of the station, she barely looked like she knew how to use a gun. Most of all, she looked frightened. Her pink top was speckled with what appeared to be blood too.

Black and police had guns on her? it wasn't even a question. She dropped the gun to the floor before placing her hands in the air, Getting against the wall. Her head turned to the side as the general idea that with all this going on the police were treating her like this..she felt something snap in her and fear transfered into just a broken rage meter as she began to speak in that southern voice of hers, the sweetness was put in the backseat and Memphis hostility was spilling out" We got people out here eating folks and shit and y'all mayberry asses  are gonna  arrest a bitch for having a gun? the FUCK is wrong with you two I've been ran all over the gatdamn university campus trying to avoid becoming a human happy meal and get some help for survivors there!"

Kiko heard the siren's and could just make out the flashing lights, but almost didn't snap back to reality in time to avoid one of the black and whites steam rolling towards her! She huddled up and screamed, closing her eyes, as the vehicles swerved around her, without stopping and continued off without her! She blinked her eyes open, and looked about, quivering like a leaf! The police were mobilizing for something apparently, perhaps to deal with the... they couldn't be really dead, could they?! That freaky little girl and that teen looked like... zom-

She stopped her thoughts, hearing another voice from the open police gate. "-oh God, finally!" She screamed, running back into the gates, blade in hand, foregoing the thought of being shot-

-she stopped in her heels as soon as she spotted the pair of officers, one black the other white, hold up a woman speckled with blood and with a gun not too far from her feet. She blinked, her blue eyes glancing down at the switchblade in her hand then back to the officers. She heard the woman say something about people eating each other up by the university, and she then remembered the child. But first: "W-woah whoa whoa!" She held her arms up, half a step back. "What the hell are you guys doing, there are freaky little kids without a lower jaw out there trying to rip people apart!" She screamed.

Cahill kept his focus on the African American woman, while Wheeler now turned his Glock on the Asian woman, noting her switchblade. "Shut up both of you, and calm down!" Cahill exclaimed. Wheeler walked up to the Asian, his weapon ready to fire. "Drop the knife, get on your knees and put your hands behind your head!" Wheeler barked.

Cahill got closer to Brianna, sliding her Glock away from her with his boot, lowering his weapon. "Okay, you both seem a bit frazzled, how about you both explain whats going on inside the station, okay? No cuffs... just... four people having a chat, okay?" he asked. Unaware of what was walking through the gate!

The little girl from earlier shambled quietly after Kiko, when she suddenly turned to Wheeler who was closer. There was only a snarl before her upper teeth sank into Wheeler's right thigh! The Deputy would let out a loud cry of pain, turning quickly to the little demon who was digging into his flesh with grimy fingers and only half a jaw! She was then joined by the decomposing teen, and then her mother and then a man in a jersey! They piled onto Wheeler and brought the man to the ground, his Glock firing once into the shoulder of one of the creatures before the weapon flew out of his hands and onto the stone flooring! He lets out anguished screams as the creatures began to chew at him; blood spurting from the dog pile as the Senior Deputy is eaten alive in front of them!

The man in the jersey turns towards Bri and Cahill, stumbling towards them with one outstretched hand! The decomposing teen shambled towards Kiko, who was on her knees at the time before Wheeler's demise!

Everything happened so fast. Before she even had time to answer Cahill, she heard that sound, one she had heard too many times tonight. Sounds of flesh being torn from muscle and bone and the screams.."We have to move NOW" she exclaimed as she turned from the wall. She was so focused on getting inside, she forgot all about her glock on the ground.. looking back she looked at the group..horrified at the sight especially the little girl that was just a book of horror that was opened she wasn't ready for

Kiko was on her knees, about to put her switchblade on the ground when she saw the little girl from the corner of her eye! She gasped, turning to the little freak and screamed! "L-Look out!" She tried to warn him, but it was already too late. Now, Kiko witnessed what happened when these things grabbed hold of ya. She watched with horror as the little girl bit down on the Sheriff Deputy's thigh, and soon she was joined by a few others from the street! Kiko shot back to her feet after Wheeler fell onto his back, noting that one of the creatures were shambling after her! "Stay the fuck back!" She screamed, slashing her blade helplessly against the face of the teenage girl, backing up as a gunshot stun their ears. While her ears were ringing, she turned to see that the Deputy's weapon had flown from his grip, hitting the bottom step of the landing leading into the station. She ran for it, picking up the weapon and turned it on the decomposing teen. Weapon safety is already off, just aim and fire! She thought, lining up the painted white sights on the creature's head before pulling the trigger. She didn't check her target, only sweeping to the next that was lumbering towards the African American woman and the other cop. She pulled the trigger again upon lining the sights up with the person's head!

The teen zombie, the jawless little girl who somehow still managed to gnaw on the deputy, and the man in the jersey all fell to Kiko's shots. However, before Cahill or Bri could protest or congratulate Kiko, the noise of the gunshots provoked a scene nobody would ever forget...

The moans of the damned intensified, along with more unnatural sounds. Within moments, more lurching, lumbering undead emerged from alleyways, and storefront doorways. At least a solid dozen new shambling corpses emerged, each in various states of damage and decay. Red eyes to milky white, missing limbs and horrid festering wounds.... Unfortunately, some corpses were not just those of humans, as several civilian dogs with wounds exposing ribs and snarling teeth also petted out of the alleys, their damaged ears flicking, looking for the source of the sound.

"Wheeler!" Cahill cried out, turning his gun on the cannibal freaks, his HiPower joining the chorus of gun fire. Other officers began to appear from the front door, guns raised, responding to Wheeler, Kiko's and Cahill's gunfire. Cahill could see that the Senior Deputy was beyond saving, not even moving below the pile of corpses. He turned to the Kiko who was using Wheeler's pistol, thanks to her, he and Brianna were saved from a similar fate. "What the hell?!" He spat, his confusion fading as he turned to the source of the new nose-a chorus of moans attracted by the gunfire! Several more of the decomposing shambling people came towards the station, and that was when he heard the confusion from his officers behind him. The Captain turned his attention to the officers and waved them back into the station, "Get back, all of you get back!" He ordered, turning to Bri. "Grab your gun, and get inside the station! You too!" He barked, to both Bri and Kiko. He raised his firearm towards the approaching horde and provided some cover fire. "Andy, Mike, Helen- help me with this gate!" he ordered, as the small group of officers descended the steps to aid the Captain. Andy with a SPAS 12 shotgun in hand, aiming it into the street at the approaching human like creatures with hesitation. "Wai-what?" He asked, before Cahill grabbed his shoulder and shook him hard. "Just shoot!"

Helen and Mike began to close the gates, while Cahill and Andy provided the gunfire.

Kiko panted, switchblade half held in her two hand grip on the Glock. Blood was everywhere, the Sheriff Deputy's beige uniform was tattered and his guts were strewn about. It was such a short period of time, but these... things were rabid and insane! She didn't like having to put them down like she did, but there wasn't any other choice. She turned her head to the other officers, half expecting to be shot at or carried away, but glad that wasn't the case as they began assisting in the barricade of the building thanks to the R.P.D. Officer. She barely heard him order her and the other woman in the station when more of these undead creatures began showing up!



She half back stepped towards the precinct as the gunfire and number of zombies increased, and though she did want to turn tail and run, she couldn't... just run from this! She raised her newly acquired pistol and began taking pot shots towards approaching zombies, aiding the officers with their plan!

The zombies were now piling into the entrance way, seemingly immune to taking shot shells to the chest, and those who's legs were blown away still crawled towards them! "What the hell?! What are these things?!" Screamed Andy, loading his SPAS when Helen screamed. She was being pulled by the creatures away from the gate, Mike all the while trying to fend them off with his Browning! "Oh God, Helen!" Mike screamed, watching as the creatures bit her arm, tore into her clothes and flesh with their yellowed teeth!

"GOD NO GAAAAAAAAAA---ccccck" Helen screamed, blood spilling from her wounds as the crowd of zombies swallowed her, their attention focused on the fresh meat, her gurgling cries diminishing slowly as blood sprayed and the zombies tore her apart in front of the gate! Andy seeing the doors were open, rushed over to the gate, closing the side Helen was unable to. He grit his teeth as the mob pushed against the thin open bars! "Goddaamnit!" He spat, Mike pulling his side into place as decaying arms slid through the spaces between the steel bars! Andy's eyes large at the sight of so many ashen grey arms slipping through the bars! He dropped the shotgun as the mass of bodies pressed up against the gate, nearly pushing it open! Mike's side did swing open, and four of the creatures landed on him! "No!! Please g-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!" Mike shrieked as the zombies took his arms another falling onto his chest and began chewing on his shoulder!

Andy watched with horror as the many cold or clammy hands gripped onto him, pulling him against the bars! "Oh shit!! OH SHIT!" he screamed. "HELLLP?!" He shrieked, feeling his right arm pulled against the bars, before teeth sinking into it! The feeling making him cringe, and it was something he never quite felt before and didn't care to feel any further! "AH Gahd its fucking biting me!!" He screamed, feeling a hand pulling at his slick back brown hair, pulling him against the gate, smashing his nose! Blood dripped down his face, his large brown eyes upon the faces of the creatures trying to eat him through the gate!

Cahill shot at those filing through Mike's side, shoulder and torso shots failing, so he started aiming for the head, which seemed more effective! "Jesus, I'm coming!" he spat, rushing to the door to close it when another officer appeared, picking up Andy's shotgun and then brought its barrel against the chest of the next zombie that entered the gate!

BANG!

The zombie was thrown back by the force of the point blank shot, knocking back the other zombies behind it. Cahill turned to see the blonde officer with a tilted cap on his head, a stone look on his face. "Chief Douglas!" Captain Cahill shouted in shock, the Deputy Chief of the R.P.D., Chief Iron's understudy, Raymond Douglas had arrived! He was supposed to be in Stoneville on a family trip last Cahill remembered. Cahill didn't linger longer, he pulls the gate door closed, and swings in the bolt which slid into Andy's side, locking the gate! Cahill backed away as Raymond came up to the zombies eating Mike and shot them with the shot gun. Cahill had in turn, pulled Andy from the zombies trying to eat him, blood spurting from Andy's arm as he was pulled away! "Fuck! FUCK!" Andy screamed, stumbling, covering his arm with his free hand, while Cahill brought his pistol to the zombies chewing Andy's flesh and took care of them.

The Deputy Chief checked Mike's pulse, but it was clear the officer was dead. He turns to the other officers, to Bri and Kiko as well. "This is happening all over the city, we need to start an evacuation of survivors to the designated safe zones, and get a team to establish contact outside the city." he explained, turning to the two civilians. "Get inside, its safer there..." he says gently before turning to Cahill. "We need to clear these freaks from the gate, we have other officer out and about. I'm gonna go towards Jack's Bar in West Raccoon, try and get more survivors out there; as for a full evacuation we'll use the Railyard, the one thats on the same line as the Raccoon Zoo's tram system. I'm gonna head out there first and start posting posters to get people to the railyards." He spoke fast, checking the shotgun as he walked. "Till the Chief is back, you and David are in charge. Marvin and Damian will act as your confidants. Without the Chief we'll be on our own to establish the city's safety. Use flares to signal everyone, got it?" The Deputy Chief ordered.

"Yes sir." Cahill replied, when Raymond turned again. "Where's Handy, he here?"

"No sir, I sent Winters to get him and Rachel from Jack Street. God, in this no less!" Cahill replied with a worried tone.

"Shit, then I need someone else manning the rescue helicopter. We need a city wide look at the area." Raymond remarked.

"Harrison. Harrison's here. We'll get him to man the chopper." Cahill replied.

"Good thinking, okay, I'm heading out now. Don't wait for me, get this front gate clear and assist the civilians and officers. If I don't come back, don't go looking for me either. We can't afford to lose any more officers..." he says with a frown, turning to the corpses of Wheeler and Mike. "...I hate to say this, but take Mike and Wheeler to the morgue in the basement, when we have access to Helen, take her down too... if there's anything left of her..." He says, both men looking up to the grotesque scene as Helen's arm had been torn away by the animals; flesh and sinew being torn away from an unidentifiable mass of blood and gore beneath them.

Cahill cringed. "...will do."

Raymond Douglas patted Cahill's shoulder and began to make preparations. He would later leave from the backside of the building... and would never return.

Cahill stood before Kiko, Andy and Brianna. Another officer came out to assist Andy. "Sorry about all of this ladies..." Cahill began, sweat dripping off his face. "Its... perhaps best you both wait inside."

Kiko was alarmed by the number of the creatures, and was in awe of the firepower they could withstand. She lowered the Glock, slipping it into her coat pocket before walking over to assist the injured the officer. "We'll need to get that wound looked after, we'll need antiseptic and clean bandages immediately." she says, her med school background kicking in. She looked back to the gate one more time before she entered the station's foyer.

The five police officers, with Captain Cahill at the center fanned the yard. So far, the shambling creatures were still eating what little remained of Helen outside; Wheeler and Mike's bodies were already gone thanks to Fred and Jean who took them away to the station's basement.

Cahill looked back to the two ladies who were assisting them, and nodded. "Kiko, Brianna... I want you both to remain level headed and strong. Don't hesitate, if it looks like bad news, shoot." He explained, turning his head back to the gate. "Everyone ready?!" He asked, but didn't give them much chance to back out, it was sink or swim now! He pulls out the steel bar holding the gate closed, the double doors opening wide as he pulls them inward and backs up, shotgun raised. "Go go go!" He shouts, taking aim with the 12 gauge. "Kill the sonvabitches!" He ordered!

She nodded at the officer as she flipped the safety off and took a deep breath "Ready as I'll ever be" she said as she looked at the zombies and the poor female officer who was still being used as an all you can eat by the zombies and fought back vomiting. She remembered what the sheriff had told her before he passed back on campus about aiming for the head.

Kiko wasn't so pleased about being denied her STI Eagle for now, but she supposed she had no choice for the moment. She leveled her firearm at one of the zombie's heads, their appearance suggesting they were once a crossing guard of sorts. The child zombie from earlier, the mother and the few suited creatures made her think terrible thoughts, thoughts she had to push away for now. "They're... not themselves anymore. We can't bring them to a hospital... we have to end them now." She says in a low, quiet breath. She sighed, and prepared to fire!

For a moment, everything seemed anticlimactic as the zombies seemed to completely ignore Bri, Kiko, Cahill, and his officers. Officer Helen was stripped down to a rib cage, missing an arm and a leg, her head was also removed. The gory scene went on without pause, till Cahill's shotgun cracked, buckshot blowing off one of the infected's skulls away.

The small crowd of shambling corpses slowly stood up and hobbled for the officers and civilian women! Moaning hungrily, they were slow yet eager, dragging their limbs as they amassed and stumble into the front yard!

The sick feeling passed as she seen the group of zombies moving towards them. Taking aim towards one of the zombies, She remembered what the sheriff told her about head shots..her aim focused towards the zombies skull before she pulled the trigger. The gun jumping in her hand a little as the bullet left the gun. Quickly she took aim towards another one and prepared to fire once again thankfully these things were slow so it did make it easy to shoot..still she had never shot anyone outside of goldeneye.
