Background & Other Details:
-A custom masterpiece created by Lieutenant Damian Handy of the RPD to honor a gun nut Rabbi he was friends with, back when he was a cop in New York City. Joseph "Joe" Kendo and Robert "Bob" Kendo of Kendo Gunshop find the weapon a 'sexy beast' to put it lightly, and have offered a lot of money to Handy or even make a trade for it; Damian has declined all. Albert Wesker liked the model as did Barry Burton, though both found the titanium gold slide and adornments albeit an odd choice.
The weapon has an aforementioned titanium gold slide, trigger, and extended 9 round magazines built for the 'No Guts No Glory', a quote which is inscribed on the side of the slide which is an obscure US Airforce motto, as well as a statement made about the gun itself. Its second name is probably 'Go big or go home'. With a pricy tag, Damian put a lot of money into this weapon. Below the rear sight are an engraving in Hebrew which loosely translate "For Rabbi". The history behind Damian and this Rabbi is little known, as many don't realize that the inscription is Hebrew, but Wesker did make a point to ask him if Handy was Jewish, which he is not, but that 'its a personal reminder', is all that Damian would say on the matter.
The weapon is Tri-toned. Aside from the titanium gold elements, the barrel with its 10 inch extension is a matte black with gold inlay Eagles and print, with a tungsten hammer, frame, and safety levers. The grips are hand carved with finger grooves, made of a dark wallnut wood with the I.M.I. logo stamped in the center of each side with gold inlay. The frame's magazine well and the grips are extended slightly, to accommodate the extended 9 round magazine flush to the frame instead of sticking out like a sore thumb. However, because of this, standard Desert Eagle magazines cant be utilized without some slight alterations, since the mag is just a hair too short to catch properly.
Because of such, the five magazines Damian has, are it. He has to hold onto the five mags to make the weapon function properly without having to single load rounds by hand into the chamber. The weapon as mentioned was designed to handle the pressure of .50 AE and overpressure rounds.
Its 10 inch extended barrel is dovetailed allowing the addition of a barrel mounted scope, but Damian isn't a fan of using it, though he could certainly add one.
The massive hand cannon can be cumbersome to carry, and Handy has yet to find a proper holster to carry it, going with instead a sort of makeshift holster Joe Kendo jokingly called the 'Bondage Leather', which held the weapon in place by a pair of leather belts tightly fastened against the barrel of the weapon. Since the SWAT were allowed use of Desert Eagles as a special weapon, its been somewhat of an unresolved issue of where to carry it, with one suggestion being a shoulder holster, another a chest, but given the SWAT Gear he has, he relegated to carrying it somewhat uncomfortably in a fanny style manner on his lower back. However, its been mostly carried in its special 'Presentation' case between his home and the Gun Range as he has yet to get official approval from Chief Irons to carry it as a 'personal issue' for his SWAT duties as of yet.
The case itself has a gold plate with the engraving: "Handy Custom, No Guts No Glory" written on the plate inside, with pouches for storing the magazines and places to carry boxes of expensive .50AE ammunition.
As of current, the weapon sits in the Lieutenant's home in northern Raccoon City, collecting dust, and waiting for its time to shine in this Outbreak...
This weapon also directly inspired another Desert Eagle, one custom created between both Kendo Bros and Lt. Handy... "Who Dares Wins"
