The Main Hall

"Some of my... 'clientele' like it a little 'rough'. I'm also used to dealing with creeps who think they can get more than they paid for... in one way, they do." She smirked back to the man as he made his compliment. She turned to the woman with a stern expression, and then pointed the bat towards the door forced open past the big guy.



"Over there. I came in from that weird art room past that library, guest room like room. There were people back there who let me in from the street... she... it devoured all of them." She says, looking away with a scowl. "I don't know whats left back that way, other than death... but it lead to the street near the hospital." She explained.

Edward hefted the crate with the strange club symbol on it and moved it aside, along with several other wooden crates. He glanced at the broken doorway Reiko had indicated and shook his head. "Unless you two would favor a battle with that thing in a more enclosed space, and the only viable exit was on the other side of it, we need to find another way out." he said, before smiling a little as he found two coils of heavy duty rope used for the clocktower's internal pullies and operation of the bells.

"Ok, I have something we can use to get you two back up onto the balcony and out of here," ed explained as he sling the two coils over his right shoulder, and dipping his hands into his pockets, pulling out not only his .44 revolver, but also an opened but near full box of ammunition for the weapon, handing them to Reiko. "Take these. Your bat won't do much against the creature, but you might be able to help hold it off long enough for me to get the ropes down to you two with this."

Once Reiko had taken the gun, Ed began his climb, by digging his fingers directly into the stonework like a four pronged climbing pick, and like that, he used his arms like pistons, or a giant spider monkey, digging and clawing his way up.

"Carrie, and Ed by the way." Carrie says to the woman beside her who was gawking at Ed's supernatural prowess, climbing up the way back to the rooftop where they had come from. Her arms were crossed, but a smile was on her face. "In a world where the impossible seems to be against ya, its good to have people of a similar nature on our side too, amiright?" She says to Reiko with a smirk, nudging her with her shoulder gently, before taking out her stainless M92F. "I think your other half is coming back, by the way." She says turning her handgun on the black mass which was slowly creeping its way back, now entering the courtyard with them!

It launched her brothers crate at them, and both women dodged it in time! Robert... I hope nothing fragile is in that case... sorry bro! She thought to herself as she returned fire, the smaller 9mm doing fuck all besides pissing it off as masses of the writhing nanites broke off and began forming into the shape of a dog...! "No worries Ed, we got this! Take your time!" She called out from above.

"Nah, I've done enough deepthroating for one lifetime..." she replied, shivering as she relived the moment again. As they followed him back outside, he handed her a box of munition and the large revolver. She glanced him over... before silently, Reiko took the large gun from him. It was heavy, but... she had some firearms experience and a pistol permit in her real name, though it wouldn't have been useful even if she had the .25 SNS with her now.



"This isn't a Saturday Night Special, thats for sure. What the hell do you need a .44 magnum for anyway? Shooting elephants?" She remarked before shrugging and slipping the box of munition into her functional apron, before tying her bat's shaft to her hip. It could still be useful down the line after all. "I'll blast that maid and her dog if she comes back out from hiding, but how are you going to-" Before she could finish, she watched Ed begin his climb!



"Wh-what the hell?!" She gasped, watching the man climb!

Reiko turned to 'Carrie', and then back to 'Ed' again. "Y-yeah... I'm still wondering if I died back there."

Their banter was cut short as both woman turned to the 'other maid' returning, and dodged her attack! "Shit, she's persistent!" Reiko says raising the magnum with both hands, the long barrel was heavy so she tried to raise her arms a little to compensate but ended up missing the shot when the hand cannon bellowed loudly!

Reiko blushed, and as Carrie began to unload her smaller gun at the maid, bits that fell off became the dog again! "Not again Fido, consider yourself neutered!" She turned the large gun its direction and fired, blowing a hole through the inky copy of the retriever and caused it to split into two puddles of small, writhing black tendrils! She then turned the big gun back to the maid, and fired the weapon twice, each time she fired the recoil nearly yanked her arms out of her sockets, but she was getting used to the recoil and her aim was improving by the second!

Ed glanced back down as the nanite entity reappeared. He cursed as she had chosen that moment to come out of hiding. He visibly tisked, and started climbing faster, this time leaping and jumping up the wall. Once he reached over the balcony, he flipped over the edge and tied the two ropes to the nearby support column, sending the lines over the edge to the two ladies now fighting for their lives.

"GRAB THE LINES!" he shouted down to them, ready to haul them up. He took a firm grip on the ropes with both hands, his hands easily wrapping around both couls of rope simultaneously, and wated till he could feel their weight on the end.

Carrie fired the magazine empty, ejected the clip and flung it at the creature with little effect, who simply threw it back covered in those nanites! "Shit!" She rolled out of the way in time, loading a mag whilst rolling thanks to her military training she didn't have to fully lie about thanks to her tattoo on her right bicep. Thumbing the slide release lever on the inox caused the chunk of stainless steel to fling back into place and simultaneously load one of the fresh 9mm rounds into the chamber. "Well, we'll have to make like her and split, since your keen on puns Reiko!" She called back, grabbing one of the lines, coiling it around her left arm and wrapped it around her left leg for support. She gripped the line, while her right hand held out the Beretta and began unloading the 15 shot magazine slowly into the approaching creatures, the recoil easy to handle with one arm! "C'mon, leave her!" She called to Reiko! Firing the handgun yet to ward the thing off!

Reiko fired the magnum till it ran dry, before pushing on the crane release and sweeping it to the side, tipping it up to drop the spent cartridges, and with one of the speed loaders slapped it against the exposed chamber and pushed the button to release the skinny but large .44 magnum shells into their respective wells.



She swung the crane back home, and lifted the magnum at the 'Man-Maid' horror who shot its arms out and grabbed her latex arm! She watched the small nanites trying to find a way to entrench themselves... and realized her clothes are what saved her from its touch for so long! "Get... the fuck... off me!" She spat, and yanked her arm back with newfound... freakish strength!



She didn't know why she was able to in that moment, withstand the Black Queen's strength, but she didn't hesitate to ask. She raised the .44 and fired one handed at the Maid's reforming head, swearing she heard it whisper something... whispering during a gun fight? She ignored it for now, watching the .44 shell split the non-human's human-like head apart!



She heard Carrie finally calling for her beyond the booming cannon fire, her head snapping back to her as she then rushed for the cord. Revenge for nearly becoming the Black Queen's human happy meal wasn't on her radar, but she had to do something to slow her pace! She ran to the opposite coil, stuffing the hot long barrel of the large handgun into the apron, and grabbed hold of the cord with both hands, hooking both legs around the wire and letting it spool between her locked boots. "NOW, ED!" She called to the man, saying his name like she knew him felt odd, but she ignored it.

As soon as he felt the tug and the shouts on both ropes, Edward hauled them up as fast as he dared. "Hold tight!" he said as his arms pumped, dragging the ladies up at a fairly decent pace, pulling them out of the nanite creatures current reach, along with the rope, so it couldn't use it to follow them.

In a few moments they were at eye level with the large man, and he pulled them over the short railing to safety on the walkway. He turned and looked down at the nanite creature, as it's mass had fully healed from the wounds inflicted by the guns, and Reiko's hand. He quirked an eyebrow slightly at that, but given he was tempted to drive the creature off with another blast of flame, he could not consider her actions any stranger than his.

Edward then looked at Carrie and Reiko. "We need to keep moving. If we stay at any one spot too long, the chances increase of that thing finding a way to us. We should go collect Ms McLeed and make our way to RPD HQ as quickly as we can" he said as he turned towards the opposite side of the walkway, and walked to the fire escape ladder they had used to get here.
