Winding Hallway and Small Library

Connecting to the Clock Room/Park Street Entrance, is a winding hallway that leads to a small library, which then has a pair of doors leading to a small livingroom and the cathedral like main hall and foyer.

Reiko pushes past the hail of bullets seemingly unscathed, bolting through the iron door leading into a winding hall with windows looking out to the street. The boards creaked under her, her goth boots banging as she ran, kept running, to get away from the chaos, and the shooting... the mass of tendrils that still haunted her vision. She ended up in a small library of sorts after pushing through another ornate door, with a door to the wall ahead of her (OOC: Living Room), and to the wall on the far right (OOC: Main Hall). It was like some private study, and she was confused, but shook off her confusion, realizing she needed to find a way out of here! Can't trust no one in this city, not even the damn dogs! She thought, frowning, sweat dripping down her neck, her curvaceous body moving through the library to find a way out or a suitable weapon.

The sounds of screaming and gunfire slowly faded and for a moment there was un-nerving silence. Then the large ornate door shook as something thudded into the other side. After another moment of silence a black puddle formed on the floor and began to expand into the room, moving towards Reiko.

In the middle of the pool a shape slowly formed, rising up from the dark liquid. It was the retriever's head then neck, the dog was panting and smiling as it slowly formed out of the pool of nanites.

Reiko stood in the private library for a moment... the gunshots, the screams all stopped in an abrupt and eerie fashion that gave the maid goosebumps...

BANG!....BANG!....BANG!

Reiko quickly turned to the sound of the ornate door being beaten on behind her! "Shit... its already here..." She watched as the tendrils began to climb under then up the door frame! She managed to break her eye contact from the mass of inky black tendrils to turn to the door to her immediate left, the plate beside the door read: "MAIN HALL" in that copperplate gothic font. She tried the door a couple times, realizing with dread horror it was locked! "Shit!" She screamed, turning back to face the tendrils, staring with wide eyed horror as the retriever's malformed head rose from the pool of black as if with a sadistic Glasgow smile! She felt her skin craw from the sight, her DD's bouncing as she began to pant as well! Fuck me...! Fuck me and the horse I rode in on! She gulped, and then turned to the fire extinguisher near the door! She smashed the glass with her bat, and pulled it out, smacking the knob with the extinguisher, hoping it break the lock when she could hear the creature panting down the back of her neck! She screamed, backing away, pulling the pin of the extinguisher, hoping that this may at least stun the creature long enough for to escape, as she aimed the spout at the black mass of trendrils and began emptying the tank!

Phsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssshhhh!

White foam shot out at the deformed retriever's face, Reiko gritting her teeth as she squeezed the trigger on the extinguisher and fired the chemicals into the mass!

The retriever recoiled, not from the chemicals, those had little to no effect on it, but as the plume of compressed gasses shot over the dog the high rate of evaporation caused a huge drop in temperature. Icy white crystals formed over the retriever, and its form began to slip, almost like the wax of a melted candle.

Warning Warning: Temperature drop below acceptable operating parameters!

The dog shuddered to a halt, chunks of it falling off as solid blocks coated in ice, falling to the floor.

Stability compromised! Unable to maintain form!

The animal slowly fell apart reverting to chunks of frozen black that dropped and bounced across the floor.

Reiko watched as the creature began to hiss and shutter, black chunks of ice falling to the floor! She glanced at her unexpected new found weapon, before turning to the door again and began to beat on the lock till both it and the knob came off! With the door to the main hall swinging open, she turns to the chunky ice tower of tendrils with an angry expression. "Damn you!" She hissed, taking her bat and swung through the blocky tendrils till they smashed and fell over!

She then turned to the door to the Main hall and entered! She needed to get out of here!
