History:
Karen Choi, (mispronounced 'Choy' hence her stage name/nickname), is a young woman from a Korean American family hailing from Raccoon City. Something of a troublemaker, she was kicked out of Ivy Academy in her final year and denied her diploma for reasons unknown. She was disinherited by her family soon after where she turned to a life of crime and other lurid affairs. The man who'd be her current employer, Bret 'Broman' Pryce, took her in when she applied for the job of being an Exotic Dancer. She learned other skills from local criminal Mario DeLuca and performed odd jobs for him now and then given she was a gifted safecracker and lockpick user after only a few tutorials by the man.

During the Outbreak, Choy took advantage of Bret's earnestness and fairness towards his staff (and a well 'timed' shot of Horse tranquilizers) and snuck into his office, stealing an ample sum of his cash for 'insurance' as she plans to escape Raccoon City alive, even if it means taking advantage of people or even killing them.

The reasoning for her decent into 'darkness' as it were is yet unknown. In passing, she mentioned she was a very gifted swimmer and on the swim team for Ivy Academy when she went, but everything else is shrouded in mystery.
