Physical Description-
Length: Varies, the larger ones can be the size of a mini-van.
Weight: Varies
Eyes: N/A
Body/Physical Appearance: A creamy-yellow slug with a large sphincter-like mouth. Always leaving a trail of mucus behind them, they are fleshy and slimy.

Background-
A common banana slug which was exposed to the T-Virus for research which grew large by default. The beast is predatorial, but some show greater levels of logic than its offspring and can produce said offspring asexually. The monster leaves trails of sticky, web like slime that entraps its intended food, and the webbing can remain sticky for several hours. If it cannot entrap its food, the smaller offspring, no bigger than a large rat or small dog (both its main sources of food) is used to capture prey by coiling around the food item, and pinning them down with slime and or disabling the item's limbs.



One of the medium stage offspring alone can topple a healthy, full grown adult human easily, and sometimes are able to consume them.



Such creatures are usually 5' long, and aggressively expel mucus onto their prey to entrap them or impede their performance:



They will even 'inject' their prey's rectum with a paralyzing fluid to 'slow' the prey down. The injector is a chitinous needle like perforation under their fleshy bodies which is grown when the smaller child version reaches this intermediate stage, but falls off when they become larger. It will not need to perforate the victim's rectum with this needle, it can inject the fluid if it stabs into the spinal cord, or into the victim's mouth. The fluid is more dangerous when applied to the flesh, as it behaves oddly when mixed with the blood, and can potentially stop the victims heart. Not that the monster will mind. Food is food.



The 'adult' stage, which can be the size of a mini-van, doesn't need much in the way of tactics, but it does have some other evolutionary features unique to it. The creature's sphincter like mouth conceals a prehensile tongue capable of coiling around its prey and dragging them inside; it is barbed to easily catch onto prey and drag them within.



The Adult may also be capable of stretching out its tendril like appendages, then coil around its prey like a python and then devour them:











...the prey are then transferred to the mass of the adult, where it will be consumed within the stretchy stomach.



There are tales of a creepier, more sentient variant, but such claims have been rumour and such a beast has yet to be seen wandering the depths and dank places of Raccoon City...



The creature's are resilient, fleshy, and are squishy creatures capable of casting 'webs' of slime that stick and entrap foes and prey alike. It is weak to fire, and cutting the smaller ones will only produce more. The specimen was codenamed project 'Hydra' given its ability to reproduce from dissecting them, and being weak to fire.

The one specimen, referred to being the 'queen' is said to look... cartoonishly frightening. Human like, with working hands... but its unknown if this specimen exists, or if its just the cartoons of a mad man who decided to release these creatures before vanishing.

Weapons, clothes, equipment unless organic in nature are not destroyed, but remain within or are later regurgitated by the slugs in and around their nest. Bones and hair are often digested as well, but not always...

History:
Developed by an Umbrella Scientist [Redacted], listed as 'terminated' by the company. Created in July of 1997, they were 'accidentally' released into the sewer by said scientist who then 'vanished'. The creatures were deemed 'minimal threat' as they became a food source for Dr. Ferral's Mutated Hunter Gammas which roam the sewers defending 'the Company's interests'. Aside from rumors of a bizarre, giant humanoid version of high sentience, they have been useful in deterring trespassers where the Gamma's and security could not. Still under observation, but are deemed 'worthless' for the company, and thus forth will be terminated in protocol XX.

Skills:

Swarm: The small sized ones, the 'infants' are easy to deal with alone, but in a group can swarm and take down an adult human with ease by disabling their limbs and secreting their slime over them.

Swallow: Each of the stages are capable of swallowing creatures smaller or equal size to them whole.

Acid Spit: Each stage can launch its stomach acids at enemies or at offending predators, 25 or so feet away with the larger variants.

Poison/Paralyze: The medium sized ones, the 'juveniles' have a needle like protrusion they can shoot out from their undersides into prey. As stated, this needle of sorts when its inserted into the prey's rectum, spinal cord, or mouth, will inject a toxin that will paralyze the victim for a while. When mixed with the blood, however, the poison acts strangely and will be a more potent neurotoxin and much deadlier.

Webbing/Entrap (both passive and ranged): They naturally secrete their slimy webbing, but can also projectile shoot their slime 25 feet or so away. The sticky secretion is hard to pull away, and only gets thicker the more one struggles within it.



Asexual Reproduction & Division: They produce asexually, and when split or cut in half with a blade, the 'halves' will reform what was lost and leave a weary survivor facing two of the creatures as opposed to one!

Tentacle Sentience and Tongue: The large sized ones, the 'Adults' cannot poison their prey like the juveniles (who do that for them usually), however, they evolved barbed tongues that can launch out and coil around prey from their sphincter like mouths, before drawing the prey inside. They also adapted the ability to launch their tentacles and sensors out to coil around and devour their prey for them as well.
