Weapon Profile: H&K Mark 23 SOCOM Unknown

Foxhound 'extra' modifications: Experimental Folding Pistol Stock (based off M93R), Handgun Picatinny Rail, High Powered Scope, High Standard Silencer, Experimental Muzzle Break, Experimental Pistol Red-Dot Sight, Reflex Rifle Red-Dot Sight, H&K Compensator.

Background & Other Details:

As of 1996, this advanced, medium power tactical handgun was produced after extensive drills and testing under orders from the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM), to replace Beretta M9's in current use with US special operation forces like the Green Berets and Delta Squad. Though rejected by Seal Team 6 for its 'weight issue', the weapon is currently and happily being adopted by the US Army Special Operations FOXHOUND to replace the 9mm Beretta M9A1 still in use with many of its members.

The weapon is generally in use by top tier government agencies, or FOXHOUND members who traded their 9mm side arm for the 12 shot .45. The weapon is built for special operations in mind, being able to fire cocked and locked and when using sub-sonic loads in conjunction with a silencer, all the more quieter when fired. The large frame allows it to hold a massive 12 round high capacity magazine, and its threaded barrel can adapt more than the specialized silencer attachment. A state of the art if not boxy (but also durable), combat-torch/flashlight combined infrared and laser pointer modules can be snapped on snugly to the underside of the handgun- the infrared laser perfect for 'absolute stealth' whilst wearing nvgs, allowing the user (wearing such) to still aim with a laser pointer assist which is only visible with infrared or night vision goggles.

There are also a number of... 'experimental' customizations that are being played with in FOXHOUND R&D:

(High Power Scope + folding stock+ High Standard Silencer)

Weapon Profile: H&K Mark 23 SOCOM Unknown
(Reflex Rifle Red-Dot Scope+ folding stock+ Standard Silencer +LAM Module)

Weapon Profile: H&K Mark 23 SOCOM Unknown
Weapon Profile: H&K Mark 23 SOCOM Unknown
(Folding stock+ LAM Module+ Experimental Muzzle Break)

Weapon Profile: H&K Mark 23 SOCOM Unknown
(Experimental 'Pistol Red-Dot Sight', H&K Compensator)

Being that its fairly new and only adopted by a small number of Government and Military agencies thus far, its unlikely but not impossible to find one of these throughout Raccoon City, Sheena Island, Rockfort Island, the Antarctic Base, or Isla del Tortuga.
