Specifications:
Highly customized. Stainless/Chrome Steel Frame with a raised trigger guard to allow a higher grip, frame mount rail ports on the left side of the frame, an extended dovetail which removed the redundant grip safety to reduce slide and hammer bite to the thumb thanks to the custom hammer, as well as a checkered backstrap for better grip.
A shaved down and retextured mag ejection button to keep from accidental magazine release during combat. A stainless/chromed skeletonized ring hammer to increase cadence and reduce drag/snagging, a raised rear thumb safety to allow a higher grip, and raised extended slide release lever to allow swifter reloads and easier controls and a full, skeletonized, stainless steel long type trigger with serrations for a firm, and easier trigger pull (about 3.5 lbs.) with holes that have been drilled into the trigger shoe to reduce bouncing from the recoil. Red wood and rubberized checkered finger hand formed grips with brass medallions with 'Raccoon Police' on it.
A beveled magazine well to allow swifter and easier reloading. Frame mounted, blued picatinny rail system (to attach a laser sight or flashlight/combo sight) with an attached compensator with 'Custom Kendo Gun Shop' S.W.A.T. Model engraved on the frame end of the compensator which is used to reduce recoil and muzzle rise. A blued custom slide with 'R.P.D. 45 Special' engraved on it, with modified 'ribbed'/'fishbone' style rear cocking serrations, a fluted front end to keep the barrel cool, modified, slightly elongated ejector port to reduce possible ejection related jamming. Raised 'high profile' 3-dot windage adjustable rear and forward competition sights with an enlarged front blade for superior shooting and aiming over a silencer attached.
The barrel is an extended stainless and chromed threaded barrel (to allow the equipping of silencers with the removal of the upper portion of the compensator), with titanium recoil spring guide rod and tight stainless springs. A "Stepping" texture is applied on the mainspring housing to avoid slippage during recoil. It is equipped by standard, with a modified .45 ACP 1911 style magazine with a beveled grip that extends the standard capacity by 1 round.

Additional Customizations include: Laser Sight/Flashlight/Combo under rail mount, Frame Mounted Pistol Scope rail attachment, Silencer (with removal of upper half of compensator), can utilize custom and standard M1911 Magazines.

Background & Other Details:
A very stunning, forty-five caliber handgun designed by Joeseph and Robert Kendo for the Raccoon City Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) unit, once the S.T.A.R.S. were disbanded and removed from the R.P.D.. The R.P.D. .45 Special was developed to meet 'very specific' qualifications for the SWAT by order of Captain Joe Cahill of the SWAT's Charlie Team, and Lieutenant Damian Handy of the SWAT's Delta Team. It had to be a mid caliber weapon (.40, .45 or .357 SIG) that was able to meet a high standard, a swift cadence (the time it takes to fire a bullet, eject the cartridge and then be ready to fire again), could be extensively customized and retain its reliability to handle extreme conditions, could equip a suppressor and be capable of shooting a one-hole at 25 yards in a machine rest.

The brothers managed to secure a weapon and have it done and ready before its deadline of October, having it made by September 5th. The result was this custom, match grade .45 1911 fully customized from top to bottom which exceeded results. It was issued to select members of S.W.A.T., such as Officer Kevin Ryman who carries his issue as his standard equip. Other copies are in R.P.D. Inventory and or are stored at Kendo Gunshop.
