A diehard favorite of the United States Military and Government sector, its perhaps the most widely known handgun in the world with several clones, copies, and imitations. The 1911 is a reliable handgun that utilizes an intermediate cartridge that has a little more punch than a 9x19mm, and there shouldn't be such a thing as a 'locked door' with one of these on hand. The weapon is in high number in Racoon City for a number of reasons: 1: it is the standard equip of Douglas Prison Security Guards. 2: It is in limited numbers for the Raccoon City Police Department's S.W.A.T. team's disposal, with members like Captain Cahill and Officer Kevin Ryman being issued .45's.

It's an Army classic, and would also be seen in shops like Kendo and MacLead's.
