History:
An experienced senior detective within the R.P.D., and one of the officers in charged in solving the grisly murders happening in Raccoon City in the summer of ‘98. He was an easygoing and skilled officer in the force, up till the murders. He began to sink into a heavy depression when his highly educated brother, Henry Springfield, an Umbrella Executive ended up as one of the murdered individuals. What bothered him the most was that Henry had called him the night leading up to his disappearance, but had missed the call. His answering machine had a seemingly paranoid Henry fervently trying to explain something important to Vincent who was out of town at the time; but had abruptly hung up mid call. ”We need to get out of town for a while… maybe another fishing trip? Yeah… wha-was…? I, I gotta go. We need to talk Vince, dammit this is fucking important! Please… please. Wait for me at Emmy’s diner tomorrow. I’ll explain there.” where the last words his brother ever said to him. He was found a few days later on the banks of the circular river with a bullet to the back of his head… and much of his flesh having apparently been cannibalized.

Since then, he took heavy to drinking, unable to pull out any new clues from the grisly events. After the S.T.A.R.S. Fiasco, he was pulled from the cases, and was threatened suspension for his poor conduct, and drinking on the job. Still, he obsesses over the crimes, as they consume him day and night…
