Tangled Overgrowth Empty Tangled Overgrowth

(Intro for Edgar Holden)

The sound of something heavy being dragged across the forest floor, what was being dragged was opening its blurry eyes, staring up at a tangle of branches and trees overhead which obscured a mostly overcast sky.

"...you may... me Edward...." Said a muffled, familiar voice.

The vision of trees above fuzzy and darken. The figure being dragged blinks again. Flashes of the misty woodlands appear again, but the vision gets dark from blinking. When the vision is somewhat clearer, James in full view, smiling down at the figure with a somewhat sadistic look. "It took...while to figure... to do with you. Edward." His voice becoming clearer when he spoke the name.

"As I.......you may hate me for it... but I give you what you seek: freedom. Yes, I can be benevolent at times... And in time... you'll may just hate yourself for wanting to be set free..." He chuckles. The figure's vision darkens again.

"Welcome to the nightmare, Edward!" James' voice clearly whispered to the figure's ears, a somewhat ominous chuckle following after.

The darkness is all the figure sees... for several hours...

After a few hours, the man's eyes opened, blurry, groggily, and wearily. For in truth, this is the first time in 25 years the man once known as Edward Holden had been able to use his eyes. Blinking a few times to shake out the headache and the blurriness. the man slowly sat up, and looked around. He felt wrong on so many levels, in so many ways. He reached up with his hands, and using their heels, he rubbed his eyes, before blinking again.

He looked at his hands - the hands of a stranger.

"I.... I don't.... Where am I?" he asked. not expecting an answer from the night winds. he kept staring at the unfamiliar limbs that were his hands for a moment longer, before he rose his eyes to look around once more. He was in a forest of some sort... but he could see lights, and smell smoke.... and hear voices through the tree line.

Not knowing what to do next, and apparently not realizing his body was completely naked, the man slowly got his legs under him and began to stand on the long, thickly muscled, yet unfamiliar limbs.

Completely oblivious to the danger, the man began to walk unsteadily and slowly towards the flickering lights of Raccoon City
